Reveal the Altar’s Secrets

This guide shows how to complete the Reveal the Altar’s Secrets objective for the Foggy Forest Path quest in Genshin Impact 4.2. To complete the objective, you will need to solve three Dew Bubbles & Harmonious Reed Pipe puzzles at the locations shown in the picture below.

How to solve Dew Bubbles & Harmonious Reed Pipe Puzzle

There are three steps to solving these puzzles.

Step 1: Get the Ball Octopus Ability

At all three locations, you will find a pedestal with a blue orb on top of it as shown in the picture below. Interact with the blue orb to get the Ball Octopus Ability.

Step 2: Destroy contaminated bacterial mat to release Dew Bubbles

Use the Ball Octopus Ability to destroy contaminated bacterial mats in the puzzle area. This will release two Dew Bubbles in the area as shown in the picture below.

Step 3: Activate Harmonious Reed Pipes

The Harmonious Reed Pipe requires the ripples released by bursting Dew Bubbles to be activated. There are three Harmonious Reed Pipes in each puzzle area. On top of the Harmonious Reed Pipes, you will see some runes, as shown in the picture below. The number of runes displayed on top shows the order in which the Harmonious Reed Pipes need to be activated to complete the puzzle. When there are multiple pipes with the same number of runes, then these pipes must be activated at the same time.

Puzzle 1

For this puzzle, all three Harmonious Reed Pipes have 1 rune on top. So, they need to be activated simultaneously to complete the puzzle. Use the Ball Octopus Ability to move the dew bubbles to the center of the three pipes and merge them together as shown in the picture below. Now burst the dew bubble, and this will release a ripple, activating the three pipes simultaneously. This will complete the first puzzle.
