Schemes of the Secret Smugglers is a Paradise Island side quest in the Outer Worlds 2. This article will guide the player on how to complete the side quest ‘Schemes of the Secret Smugglers’ in the game The Outer Worlds 2.

Starting Location
To begin this quest, visit Farfield’s Prison. Interact with the terminal and read all the memos under Compliance Investigations Notations. These notes will reveal that the greenhouse overseer is involved in criminal activity, which will trigger the Schemes of the Secret Smugglers side quest.
Investigate the Fairfield Greenhouse
As the quest starts, visit Emeline Galloway’s House in the southeast part of Fairfield. It is located near the Greenhouse.
Interact with the terminal and read all the messages. This will provide enough evidence to confront her as the mastermind behind the smuggling operation.
Next, go to the Fairfield Greenhouse and confront Emeline Galloway. Let her know you’re aware of her activities. Emeline will give you a new task where you must access Officer Cardosa’s terminal in Fairfield to delete her ledger. Accept it to progress the side quest.
Gain access to Officer Cardosa’s Terminal
Next, go to Officer Cardosa’s hut located on the west side of Fairfield. To look at the records on Cardosa’s terminal, you first need the Replenishment Terminal Keycard.
The easiest way to get the keycard is to distract Officer Cardosa so she isn’t paying attention. Use the dialogue options to make her look at the dropship.

- Now that you mention it, I could use some new accoutrements.
- I’m not with Auntie’s Choice. Not officially.
- Just here to admire the dropships. They’re really nice.
- What’s stopping you from pursuing the dream?
- I’m not very familiar with the dropships myself. Could you show me that one over there?
Once she’s distracted and goes to the dropship, you can pick up the keycard near the door of her house.
After getting the keycard, go inside and use Cardosa’s terminal. Select the option “Adjust Inventory Total: Auntie Fizzo’s Spectrum Vodka” to complete this part of the quest.
Finally, with all the records erased, return to the greenhouse and tell Emeline Galloway about the progress. This will end the quest and you’ll earn +15 Reputation with Sub Rosa, a silencer for your pistol, Advanced Decryption Key, and 350 Bits.
