There are 5 relay stone puzzles in Seirai Island of Genshin Impact 2.1. Solving the relay stone puzzles will grant you access to Exquisite Chests (and sometimes luxurious chests). This walkthrough will show the location and solution of all the relay stone puzzles in Seirai Island.
A relay stone puzzle has 3 components:
DISCHARGE STONE (DS): Shoots a harmless electric current.
CUMULATION STONE (CS): Absorbs the electrical energy from Discharge Stone.
RELAY STONES (RS): Conducts the current released by Discharge Stone.
To solve the puzzle you must complete the circuit: the current from Discharge Stone must reach the Cumulation Stone. You’ll have to use the relay stones to complete the circuit. There will be multiple relay stones in the area which can be picked up and positioned anywhere. To solve the puzzle, you must position the relay stones in such a way that the current released from Discharge Stone reaches the Cumulation Stone. After the circuit is complete, an exquisite chest will appear and its loot will be yours. [NOTE: Electro-Seelie can also act as a relay stone. Your character, if affected by Electro, can also act as a relay stone.]
Relay Stone Puzzle 1: Fort Hiraumi
This puzzle contains 3 discharge stones (DS), 1 cumulation stone (CS), and 2 relay stones (RS). The cumulation stone is on top of the large rock in the center. It is surrounded by three discharge stones. A relay stone is at the base of the rock (above which the CS is present). Another relay stone is near one of the discharge stones. Pick up both these relay stones. To solve the puzzle, you’ve to connect the CS to all three DS.
STEP 1 (Chase the electro-seelie): As you go north from the puzzle area you’ll see an electro-seelie near the fort wall. If you get near the electro-seelie, it will move towards the puzzle area. Chase the electro-seelie until it permanently positions itself above a rock (a common chest will spawn then).
STEP 2 (Connect DS1 to CS): The electro-seelie (you chased earlier) settles between DS1 and CS. Place a relay stone between DS1 and the electro-seelie. This will complete the connection between DS1 and CS.
STEP 3 (Connect DS2 to CS): Simply, place the second relay stone between DS2 and CS.
STEP 4 (Connect DS3 to CS): For this, you need to act as a relay. First, electro-charge yourself (by summoning an electrogranum or getting in contact with the electro-seelie) and then stand between DS3 and CS to complete the circuit. An exquisite chest will spawn near the CS.
Relay Stone Puzzle 2: Amakumo Peak
Check the map below to see the location of the relay puzzle and electro-seelie. This relay puzzle contains 2 discharge stones (DS1 and DS2), 1 cumulation stone (CS), 2 relay stones (RS), and 1 electro-seelie.
STEP 1 (Chase the electro-seelie): Loctaion of the electro-seelie is marked on the map below. As you get near the electro-seelie, it will move to the relay puzzle area and will place itself between DS1 and CS. The electro-seelie will connect DS1 to CS (you won’t have to do anthing here).
STEP 2 (Pick up the 2 relay stones): One relay stone is on the tree near the electro-seelie. The second relay stone is near the DS2 (on the south side of ths island).
STEP 3 (Connect DS2 to CS): Place the two relay stones between DS2 and CS to complete the circuit. An exquisite chest will spawn near the CS.
Relay Stone Puzzle 3: Koseki Village
This puzzle contains 3 discharge stones (DS), 1 cumulation stone (CS), and 3 relay stones. The cumulation stone is in the center and is surrounded by three discharge stones. To solve the puzzle, you must connect the CS to all three DS. First, collect the 3 relay stones. The relay stones are in plain sight and are pretty easy to spot. Place a relay stone between a DS and CS to connect them. To connect the CS with the seond DS place a relay stone between them. Similarly, place the third relay stone between the CS and third DS. An exquisite chest will appear near the CS.
Relay Stone Puzzle 4: Eastern Island
There is only 1 discharge stone, 1 cumulation stone and 1 relay stone in this puzzle. You just have to pick the relay stone and place it between DS and CS to complete the circuit. An exquisite chest will then appear near the cumulation stone.
Relay Stone Puzzle 5: Seiraimaru
Go to the location marked on the map and through a crack in the ground jump down to reach the underground area. You’ll find a wrecked ship at the bottom of this underground area. There are 3 Discharge stones (DS), 1 Cumulation Stone (CS), and 3 Relay Stones (RS) in this puzzle. To complete the puzzle you need to connect the CS to all three DS. The discharge stones and the cumulation stone are on the underground ship and are pretty easy to spot. The 3 relay stones are scattered around in the area surrounding the underground ship. Collect these relay stones first and then head to the ship to complete the puzzle.
Location of the 3 Relay Stones
The three relay stones are present on the cliffs surrounding the wrecked ship. On one of the cliffs, you’ll see an electrogranum plant. A relay stone is hidden beneath the rubble of rocks next to the electrogranum plant. Smash the rubble to reveal the relay stone and pick it up. Then summon an electrogranum (you’ll need it to cross the energy shield).
You can easily spot 2 energy shields in the nearby cliffs. There is a relay stone under both these energy shields. Enter these energy shields and collect both the relay stones. You need to be charged with electro to cross the energy shield. Summon electrogranum (from the electrogranum plant near relay stone 1) before entering the energy shields. After collecting all the three relay stones, head to the wrecked ship and complete the circuit puzzle.
Place a relay stone between DS1 and CS to connect them. Similarly, place a relay stone between DS2 and CS. DS3 in on another half of the wrecked ship. Jump towards DS3 and place a relay stone mid-air to connect DS3 and CS. This will complete the circuit and a luxurious chest will spawn. The luxurious chest spawns in a small cave under the wrecked ship. Jump down and follow the chest marker to reach the cave and collect the luxurious chest loot.
