This article will guide you on how to solve the Sluice Gate Puzzle for the Sewer Cistern in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Go to the location marked on your map and you will eventually stumble into the Abandoned Cistern, where you must unlock the Sluice Gate using the water and temperature valves.
You will also find a hint next to the temperature gauge that says the following:
“You probably want to open the Sluice Gate so you can get into the Cistern and musk it out. To do that you need to manipulate the valves to get the water level and heart level to their optimum levels at the same time. Don`t get scalded.”
To open the Sluice Gate, play with the levers to modify the water level and temperature until the gauge reads “Perfectly Warm.“
- First, turn on the water valve and wait for the gauge to rise. The indicator light will start to fill up until it says “Perfect Water Level“
- Then, go to the temperature valve and click it. You must now wait until the temperature gauge reads “Perfect Warmth“
