Sigrun’s Curse Walkthrough

This guide shows how to complete the Sigrun’s Curse favor/ side quest in God of War Ragnarok.

Objectives:
– Find clues from Sigrun’s past
– Open the treasury door
– Learn the secrets of Sigrun’s treasury

Find clues from Sigrun’s past

The quest starts automatically when you enter either The Derelict Outpost or The Oarsmen. Your first objective as the quest starts is to Find clues from Sigrun’s past. To complete the objective, you will have to find the two haves of the Fjoturlund Vault Key.

Fjoturlund Vault Key Half 1/2 (The Derelict Outpost)

Enter The Derelict Outpost as shown in the pictures below and climb up the wall on the left side.

Go straight and then jump through the hole in the wall on the left side. Hit the post here as shown in the picture below to move the grappling hook to your front. Then use it to jump to the other side.

Hit another post here as shown in the picture below to move the grappling hook to your front. Then use it to jump to the other side.

Now turn left and pull the chain on the right side. This will make the grappling hook come up as shown in the picture below. Then use it to jump to the other side.

After the jump, turn left and continue. Climb up the wall ahead then go right. Enter the building and climb up the stairs. Then destroy the icicles on the door and climb down the wall. Pull the chain here to bring down the post. Then hit the post to change the grappling hook orientation as shown in the picture below. Now use the chain to send the post back up.

Climb up the wall and use the hook to jump to the other side. Climb the wall ahead. Then turn left and climb the wall as shown in the picture below. Here you will find one-half of the Fjoturlund Vault Key.

Fjoturlund Vault Key Half 2/2 ( The Oarsmen )

Go to The Derelict Outpost as shown in the pictures below.

As you enter the room, you will see a Nornir Chest. Climb up the wall behind the chest as shown in the picture below. Then go straight ahead and climb up the golden chain on the right side. Then jump down to the other side. There you will have to move a giant chain as shown in the second picture below. This will reveal a staircase on the left side. Climb down the stairs. Here you will find the second half of the Fjoturlund Vault Key as shown in the third picture below.

Open the treasury door

Go to The Lost Treasury as shown in the picture below. In front of The Lost Treasury, you will find a giant wheel. To enter the area, you will have to orient the wheel properly.

Move the giant wheel to the right side and use it to climb up the wall on the right side as shown in the picture below. Hit the explosive barrel there. This will make the pillar behind it break and fall down. Move the fallen pillar to the left as shown in the second picture below.

Then climb down and move the wheel to its left. Climb up again, this time from the left side, as shown in the picture below. Go to the broken pillar’s location and push it to the left. The pillar will start overhanging from the wall. Now climb down and move the wheel to the right. This time the wheel will be blocked midway by the overhanging pillar as shown in the second picture below. The gate behind the wheel will be accessible now.

Rotate the crank in front of the wheel to open the gate. Then freeze the two gears on either side of the wheel as shown in the picture below. Now go inside and you will find the treasury door on the left side as shown in the second picture below. It will be blocked by vines. Use your blade to burn the vines. Then use the Fjoturlund Vault Key to open the door and go inside.
