Silent Hill 2 Remake All Weapon Locations
This guide shows the location of all 6 weapons and how to get them in the Silent Hill 2 game, which was released on 6th October 2024.

1) Wooden Plank (East South Vale)
You will get it automatically in East South Vale.
2) Handgun (Wood Side Apartment)
Enter Apartment 217 and collect the Handgun from the red shopping cart. You can reach Apartment 217 by squeezing through the narrow gap in the wall of Apartment 213.
3) Steel Pipe (West South Vale)
This one is unmissable. You will get it automatically on Katz Street.
4) Shotgun (Brookhaven Hospital)
Progress in the level until you switch on the power, which will activate the elevator. Now take the elevator to 2nd floor. Then make your way to the Woman’s Locker Room on the 2nd Floor as shown in the picture below. Take the Shotgun from the locker there.
5) Rifle (Toluca Prison)
To unlock the Armory locker and get the Rifle, a player needs the Armory Key. Follow the below steps to unlock the Armory locker and get the Rifle in Silent Hill 2.
Get The Heaviest Weight
Go to the Chapel, where players will find ‘The Heaviest Weight’ on the Altar.
Go to the ‘Scales’ in the Yard
Follow the path through Block B as shown in the map below into the Yard Area. Interact with the Statue in the yard where you need to solve the weight puzzle.
Unlock the Serpent Section of the Prison
To solve the weight puzzle, place the heaviest weight on the right scale and the smallest weight on the left scale. This should unlock the Serpent door.
Go to the Serpent Section of the Prison
Go back inside the building, take the second left, and go straight to reach a door with a serpent symbol. Refer to the map below.
Overload the Generator
Inside the Serpent section, follow the long corridor to reach the Guardroom. Then, exit the Guardroom and follow the corridor with locked cells to enter the Witness Room.
The player must flip switches in the correct sequence to overload the power panel. Once the switches are flipped correctly, pull the lever down to unlock the prison cells. Refer to the image below.
Get the ‘Medium Weight’
Enter inside the Death Chamber and pick the medium weight from the Chair.
Break the wall in Prison Cell E1
Exit from the other side of the Death Chamber and go to the Cell E1. Break the wall inside Cell E1 and go to the other side.
Get the Armory Key
After crossing to the other side, head towards Cell E10 and slip through the crack in the wall into a room containing the Armory Key.
The key can be found inside a key case on the wall.
Open the Rifle Cabinet & Get the Rifle
Now, Go through the door on the right of the key case and unlock the door at the end. The Armory room is on the right. Use the Armory Key to open the Cabinet & grab the Rifle
6) Chainsaw
After you finish the main story and get your first ending in Silent Hill 2 Remake, you’ll unlock New Game+. When you play again, you can find the Chainsaw.
After starting the New Game+ in Silent Hill 2 Remake, continue to progress in the game until you get the chance to speak with Angela outside of town. Then keep going until you reach Silent Hill Ranch. You’ll see the Chainsaw stuck in a log right in front of the ranch gate. Refer to the below map.
