This article will guide the reader on how to get Apartment 201 Key in Wood Side Apartments of the game Silent Hill 2 Remake, released on September 8th Oct 2024. Wood Side Apartments is the second area in Silent Hill 2 Remake.
1) Map: Wood Side Apartments 1F Map / 2F Map / 3F Map
Use the Wood Side Apartments Key to enter the building. Head upstairs, and you’ll find the Wood Side Apartments map on the notice board near the reception.
2) Get Flashlight and Chute Courtyard Key
Go left and head upstairs to the second floor. Enter room number 202, you’ll find a flashlight on a mannequin.
Defeat the mannequin and open the drawer behind it to find the Chute Courtyard Key.
3) Get a 2F Hallway Key
Go back to the reception on the first floor and use the Chute Courtyard Key on the door to the right side. Head north, then turn right. Push the garbage bin and use it to climb through the window into the building.
Once inside, go through the apartment and follow the dark corridor all the way to the right. At the end, try to grab the key behind the grill. A cutscene will play where a kid kicks the key away from you.
Return to the reception of the Wood Side Apartments and go to the corridor on the right (east), which was locked before. Follow the corridor to the end and collect the key.
4) Collect Golden Apple Handle
Enter Apartment 108 and collect the golden handles from the wardrobe. Golden handles will fall on the ground as you open the wardrobe.
5) Collect Handgun
Go upstairs and use the 2F Hallway Key to unlock 2F.
Enter Apartment 217 and collect the Handgun from the red shopping cart. You can reach Apartment 217 by squeezing through the narrow gap in the wall of Apartment 213.
6) Collect Apartment 212 Key
Return to Apartment 213 and collect the key from the table stand next to the television. This key was not available earlier.
7) Enter Apartment 210 Via Apartment 212
Enter the Apartment 212 by using its key and enter Apartment 210 via the balcony.
8) Enter Apartment 206
Now follow the map and enter Apartment 208. Use the Golden Apple Handle to open the wardrobe.
Then, push the wardrobe to reveal a path to Apartment 206.
9) Coin [Man] + Steel Key
Open the safe inside Apartment 206 to get Coin [Man] + Steel Key. The code for the safe is 15-11-13 (Light Puzzle Difficulty) or 13-7-11 (Standard Puzzle Difficulty).
10) Collect 2F Small Staircase Key
Use the Steel Key to exit Apartment 206 through the door. Go to the Apartment 205 to collect 2F Small Staircase Key from the chair.
11) Use 2F Small Staircase Key to unlock 3F and Pool Area
Head to the stairs in the northern part of the map. If the door in the corridor is locked, then you can access the stairs through Apartment 213.
Use the 2F Small Staircase Key on the door to unlock the stairs and then go to the 3rd floor.
12) Collect Coin Snake Coin Flower
Next, go to Apartment 116 on the F1. Exit the apartment by climbing out the window to reach an empty swimming pool. Defeat all the enemies in the area, then collect the Snake coin from the baby stroller in the pool.
13) Enter Apartment 312
Go to 3F and then enter Apartment 311 through the narrow gap in the wall. Then enter the Apartment 309, then Apartment 310. Finally, use the Balcony of Apartment 310 to reach Apartment 312.
14) Solve garbage chute
Now, crawl through the vent in the wall to enter the laundry room. Drop the Canned Juice to unlock the chute and solve the puzzle.
15) Get the Coin Woman and Gravestone
Go to the courtyard in F1 and pick up the Coin Woman near the chute.
16) Coin Puzzles
Go to the reception and enter the back room to find a coin puzzle.

Put the Man in the first slot, the Woman in the third slot, and the Snake in the fifth slot. Rotate the snake coin to get a flower.
