This step-by-step guide will show you how to complete the Tapping the Grid Quest in Starfield. This quest is available early in the game in The Well underneath New Atlantis where you have to locate a series of junction boxes.
Junction Box 1
Once you’ve completed your conversation with Louisa, turn around and proceed straight until you arrive at the New Atlantis information terminal. Then, make a left turn, and you’ll find the panel right in front of you.
Junction Box 2
Retrace your steps to the Med Bay where you spoke with Louisa earlier.
Take a left at the Med Bay to get to Jake’s. This is the location where you first met Louisa.
After passing Jake’s, turn left and up the steps. After the steps, turn left to discover a sealed door at the end of the path. Interact with the panel to open the door and then climb up the stairs, and open the beige door in front of you to find the Junction box.
Junction Box 3
The third box is on the right side of Jake’s.
Junction Box 4
According to Louisa, the final box is near the Trade Authority. So, go to the Trade Authority and then head to the left of it.
Enter the room and pay attention to Louisa’s statement concerning the secondary power boxes. Here you need to make all four green lights ON. The easiest solution to do is to leave the second box from left alone and turn on the other three boxes.
Head inside to find the junction Box 4. Finally, speak with Louisa to end the quest.
