Slaying Hero Josee is a key story quest in Code Vein II where you need to take control of the Substation. In this guide, we break down how to handle the substation section, prepare for the fight with Hero Josee, and complete the objective without getting stuck.
How to take control of the Substation in Code Vein II
The substation is located in the western part of the map. Once you reach the Substation, enter the area and move through the initial outdoor section.
Follow the path until you reach the building behind the Substation. Here, you will see a barricade placed behind a large dumper. Blast through this barricade to open the way and enter the building.
Inside, follow the linear path ahead until you reach the first Mistle.
From the first Mistle, head down the stairs to the bottom floor and turn left. Move through the room where electricity and water cover the floor, then turn right and continue forward.
Stay on this path until you reach an elevator. Use it to travel up to the upper floor. Step out of the elevator and keep moving straight until you spot another elevator on the right side.
Take the second elevator to reach a higher level.
After exiting the elevator, enter the room on the left and climb the stairs leading upward. From there, move onto the balcony and walk to the opposite end.
Re-enter the building and go up the next set of stairs to reach the second Mistle. Activate it to secure a checkpoint.
The boss arena is located nearby. Enter the area, defeat the Darkborn Leader, and once he is down, you will gain control of the Substation and progress the quest.
