This guide shows how to get all the collectibles in the Taro’s Tree area in ‘Kena: Bridge of Spirits’. There are a total of 13 collectibles in Taro’s Tree (7 Rots, 4 Hats, 2 Flower Shrine).
#1. Rot 1/7
The first rot is near the first forest tear as shown in the picture below. Use Rot on the forest tear then guide it to the haystack as shown in the second picture below and destroy the haystack. Underneath the haystack, you will find a wood log. Use the rot to lift the wood log and collect the rot.
#2. Flower Shrine 1/2
The first flower shrine is near the second forest tear with the waterfall near it. Here you will have to inspect the area and then drop a bucket of water for the forest tear to grow (This is mandatory and you cannot proceed further without doing this). Use Rot on the forest tear then use it to destroy the barrier surrounding the shrine (see the second picture below). Now go and interact with the shrine.
#3. Hat 1/4 (Bow)
The Bow hat is inside the house near the third forest tear as shown in the picture below. The house is blocked with corruption. Use forest tear to clear the corruption blocking the house. Then go inside and open the chest to get the hat.
#4. Rot 2/7
The second rot is near the third forest tear at the location as shown in the picture below. Use the forest tear to destroy the corrupted barrier blocking a small cave entrance. Enter the cave and use pulse on the small shrine to get the rot.
#5. Rot 3/7
At the location, as shown in the picture below, look to your right and you will see a clearing that look like a small cave. Enter the clearing and you will find the rot under a log.
#6. Rot 4/7
You will find a pot hanging from a tree at the location as shown in the picture below. use pulse on the pot to get the rot.
#7. Rot 5/7
This rot is underneath a rock near a cliff overlooking a river at the location shown below.
#8. Rot 6/7
This rot is underneath a rock in front of a waterfall at the location shown below.
#9. Hat 2/4 (Fox)
You will get the Fox Hat automatically on discovering the Hat Cart. The hat cart is at the end of the path as shown in the picture below.
#10. Flower Shrine 2/2
To get this flower shrine you will need bow ability. This flower shrine is at the edge of the cliff as shown below. In front of the flower shrine you will see a tree with a blue crystal on it (see the second picture below). Shoot the crystal with your bow. A white light will emerge from the first crystal and lead you to the second crystal. Shoot the second crystal and it will lead you to the third crystal. Do the same and you will finally reach the fourth crystal. Shoot the fourth crystal and it will drop a tear, which will sprout forest tear plant. Take the forest tear back to the flower shrine and cleanse it.
#11. Rot 7/7
To get this rot you will need bow ability. Go to the big tree at the location shown below and turn right.
After turning right go a little ahead and you will see a blue crystal flower on a tree as shown below. Shoot it with a bow to grapple up. Then climb the rocks on the right side and go until the end.
At the end of the path climb the ledge and move ahead. Dropdown after you have reached the end of the ledge.
After dropping down, you will find the rot underneath a stone as shown below.
#12. Hat 3/4 (Butterfly)
To get this hot you will need bow ability. Go to the highlighted location and shoot the blue crystal flower to grapple to the other side. There you will find the butterfly hat inside a chest.
#14. Hat 4/4 (Taro’s Mask)
This hat is unmissable. You will get it after defeating the area boss, Corrupted Taro.
