Tatara Tales: Observe Furnace & Activate Cannons | Genshin Impact 2.0 (World Quest Guide)

Tatara Tales is a world quest in Genshin Impact 2.0 and is the first quest in the Tatara Tales questline. This walkthrough will guide you through all the objectives of this world quest
QUEST REWARDS: Primogen x 50; Hero’s Wit x 4; Mora x 40000; Mystic Enhancement Ore x 4.

How to start the quest?

You can start the quest by talking to the Shogunate Officer Toranosuke in Kujou Encampment. Kujou Encampment is an island located north-east of Tatarasuna. Shogunate Officer Toranosuke is standing near the teleport waypoint.

Ask the two about the situation

You need t talk to Shogunate Officer Toranosuke again and Shrine Maiden Miyuki to complete this objective. Both are near the teleport waypoint in Kujou Encampment island.

Look for Xavier

Xavier is in the north-west corner of Tatrasuna island (check images below). He’ll be standing outside his hut. Talk to him o complete this objective.

Observe the Mikage Furnace (0/3)

You need to investigate the 3 Mikage Furnaces (purple colored rifts) to complete this objective. You need to find and investigate the yellow colored view-point to complete observing the Mikage Furnaces.

MIKAGE FURNACE 1/3

Check the image below to see the location of Mikage Furnace #1. Defeat all the enemies near the purple colored rift. A yellow colored view-point will then appear near the purple colored rift. Investigate it to finish observing the Mikage Furnace 1/3.

MIKAGE FURNACE 2/3

Check the image below to see the location of Mikage Furnace #2. First, clear all the enemies in the area. There is a electrogranum plant near the purple colored rift. Summon electrogranum and use it to shoot yourself up. Do this at least 2 times. The yellow colored view-point will then appear near the purple colored rift. Investigate it to finish observing the Mikage Furnace 2/3.

MIKAGE FURNACE 3/3

Check the image below to see the location of Mikage Furnace #3. Here, the yellow colored view-point in under the purple colored dome (shield / barrier). To enter the dome you need to charge yourself with electro. An electrogranum plant is near the wrecked ship at the shore. Summon electrogranum, then enter the dome and investigate the view-point to complete the objective.

Report back to Xavier

Report back to Xavier. He’ll be in the same location where you found him earlier. Xavier will give you the Kamuijima Cannon Map and your objective will be updated.

Activate the Kamuijima Cannons and destroy the rifts (0/3)

There are 3 Kamuijima Cannons. You need to activate the cannons using electro and use them to destroy the purple colored rifts to complete the objective. NOTE: You must be affected by Electro or carrying an electrogranum to be able to operate the cannon.

KAMUIJIMA CANNON #1

Check the image below to see the location of Kamuijima Cannon #1. Summon an electrogranum, then activate the cannon and destroy the purple colored rift to complete the objective.

KAMUIJIMA CANNON #2

Check the image below to see the location of Kamuijima Cannon #2. It’s near the waverider waypoint. Summon an electrogranum, activate the cannon and destroy the purple colored rift to complete the objective.

KAMUIJIMA CANNON #3

Check the image below to see the location of Kamuijima Cannon #3. It’s on a small island to the west of Kujou Encampment. The electrogranum plant is on the right side of the cannon. Summon an electrogranum, activate the cannon and destroy the purple colored rift to complete the objective.

Report back to Xavier

Report back to Xavier. He’ll be in the same location where you found him earlier.

Defeat the attacking Fatui

Fatui will appear while you’re talking to Xavier. Defeat all the Fatui skirmishers to complete the objective and talk to Xavier again.

Get close to the Mikage Furnace

First get to the mountain by running across the hanging wooden bridge. Then, run along the wooden platforms and stairs until you get atop the mountain to get close to the Mikage Furnace.
