This guide shows how to complete the “Teach Me, Great Warrior” Side Quest in chapter 9 in the Corel Region of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth game, released on 29th February 2024.

Starting Location
To begin the subquest, go to the Gongaga Village Community Noticeboard or speak with the questgiver (Sotetsu). He will say he wants to become a warrior and looking to learn all the lessons to be a warrior.
Commence Sotetsu’s Education
After accepting the sidequest start to follow Sotetsu for the first lesson.
Assist with Master Yuffie’s First Lesson
For the first lesson, you will need to help Sotetsu to complete a few objectives mentioned below.
- Pressure an enemy: Use a fire attack on Frightflower or an ice attack on Amphidex.
- Help Sotetsu strike the enemy three times.
- Don’t let Sotetsu fall in battle.
Assist with Master Yuffie’s Second Lesson
For the second lesson follow Sotetsu to complete a few objectives again
- Pressure enemies twice: Use ice attack on enemies.
- Stagger an enemy.
- Don’t let Sotetsu fall in battle.
Assist with Master Yuffie’s Third Lesson
This is a time-limit battle (2mins) and you need to pressure enemies by using offensive abilities like Braver or Triple Slash
- Stagger enemies twice.
- Defeat all enemies within the time limit.
- Don’t let Sotetsu fall in battle.
Assist with Master Yuffie’s Fourth Lesson
Follow Sotetsu and cross the river. In the fourth lesson, players just need to ensure that Sotetsu doesn’t get defeated while fighting two Mastodons.
- Don’t let Sotetsu fall in battle.
Return to Gongaga Village
At the end of Lesson 4 return to Gongaga Village and speak to Sotetsu to end the quest.
