God of War Ragnarok: Temple of Light Legendary Chests

This guide shows the location of all Legendary Chests and how to solve the puzzles to open these Chests in the Temple of Light area of God of War Ragnarok.

1) Legendary Chest (Hades Retribution – Light Runic Attack)

The chest is at the location shown in the picture below, in the area with the spiral staircase. While climbing up the spiral staircase, you have to jump down midway from the left side. Then turn left and go to the end of the path to find a lore scroll as shown in the second picture below.

After collecting the lore scroll, turn around and jump down from the ledge on the right side to reach the legendary chest as shown in the pictures below.

2) Legendary Chest (Relic – Hilt of Gram)

The location of the chest is shown in the picture below. It is near the third crystal door. Near this door, you will find a gear that lowers a twilight stone. Open the door on the right side of this gear to reach the legendary chest location.

After going through the door, pull the chain on the left side to bring a twilight stone up. Throw your axe at the twilight stone as shown in the picture below, and it will get stuck on the white board behind the chest. Then let the chain go and the chest will go back up as shown in the second picture below. Now, call back your axe and it will cut the chain holding the chain up while it comes back to you. This will make the chest drop down. Now you can jump down and open the chest to get Hilt of Gram.

3) Legendary Chest (Rune-Engraved Release)

This legendary chest is at the location shown in the picture below. It is near the fourth crystal door.

To open this crystal door, Move the hanging plate to the left. Then, move the hanging plate to the right. While it is swinging to the right, take out your axe and position it appropriately as shown in the second picture below, as the plate won’t stay there for very long. When the plate is at the correct position, hit the purple twilight stone with your axe such that the axe deflects and breaks the white crystal powering the door. Now proceed ahead and open the chest as shown in the third picture below to get a Rune-Engraved Release.
