Examine the Rock
As the haunting case starts, the player will be near an elevated wooden bridge. Go to the edge of the broken portion of the bridge and listen for the echo coming from the stone.
Investigate the murder (Lower the Bridge)
To lower the bridge, go to the left side and into the riverbed. You must first eliminate the Creeping Ivy using the Antea ability and then shoot the three orange orbs.
Follow the riverbank to find the body
Proceed over the bridge, then go in the right direction. Descend the ledge and continue along the pathway to your right.
Search the area
Look for a bag with a bundle of letters near the shore. Afterward, travel eastward along the shoreline, then hop onto the rocks to reach the opposite bank of the river. Then proceed ahead along the path and trace the trail of blood.
Inspect the chest, and listen to the Echo coming from the grave.
Investigate “The Scudder Boy”
Make your way back to the Hunter’s camp and speak with Credence Scudder.
Afterward, enter the cabin and examine the letter on the table by the window, as well as the journal located on the bedside table.
Find Beloved
As you leave the cabin, Beloved will appear. Speak with him. Follow him once he leaves the cabin to the riverbank and talk with him again.
Investigate Credence’s Hide
Follow the Objective marker to reach Credence’s hunting cabin.
Read the document on the bench, then dismantle the barricade to access the adjacent room. Once inside, inspect the pile of books, examine the map on the table, and the coins on the table.
Eavesdrop on the Scudders
Return to the Scudder house. Upon arrival, proceed around the building to the right to eavesdrop on the cousins’ conversation. Then, continue towards the back of the house to catch the remainder of their discussion. Finally, based on the information gathered, make your decision regarding this matter.
