This article will guide you step-by-step on how to complete the quest ‘The Magic of the Ancients’ in the game Dragon Age: The Veilguard, released on 31 October 2024.
The Magic of the Ancients Quest Walkthrough
You can access the Magic of the Ancients side quest in the Arlathan Forest area. Go to the northwest section of Arlathan to locate a malfunctioning artifact. Interact with it to begin the quest.
Find crystals to charge the artifact
As the quest starts, the player will find that the artifact is malfunctioning due to insufficient charge. To charge the artifact players need to track down three crystals in the nearby area.
#1 Crystal
Turn away from the malfunctioning artifact and go straight ahead. Climb the rock on your right, then look up to spot the first crystal. Use the Tinker ability to collect it.
#2 Crystal
Go back to the malfunctioning artifact and head to the left. Climb the slope on your left and continue up the stairs.
Use the zipline on the left to cross over to the other side, where you’ll find a crystal near some wooden boxes.
#3 Crystal
Proceed to the floating platforms on the left and look down to find the third crystal.
Finally, return to the artifact to complete the quest.
