This guide shows the complete walkthrough of “The Only Way Out” main quest of Dying Light 2, which released on 4th February 2022.
Spend time at the Bazaar while waiting to hear from Hakon
For the first objective, go to the location as marked below.
Meet the people of the Bazaar
To complete this objective, you will have to talk to 8 NPCs and complete 2 side quests.
Trader: Talk to the Trader Merchant as shown in the picture below. You don’t have to purchase any item for it to be counted.
Craftsman: Talk to the Craftsman as shown in the picture below. You don’t have to purchase any item for it to be counted.
Lena: Talk to the woman named Lena as shown in the picture below.
Urban: Talk to the bartender named Urban as shown in the picture below.
Ahab: Talk to the NPC leaning against the trader’s shop as shown in the picture below.
Abraham: Go outside and read the note on the wall as shown in the pictures below. This will make a man named Abraham come out. Talk to him.
Carlos: Talk to Carlos as shown in the picture below. He will give you a side quest “The Spark of Invention”. You must complete this side quest.
Julian: Talk to the man standing in the Vegetables Stall as shown in the picture below. Talk to him twice to get “Cheers!” Side Quest. You must complete this side quest.
Once you have talked to all the NPCs mentioned above and completed the two side quests ( The Spark of Invention & Cheers!), the objective will be complete.
Meet Hakon
For the next objective, go and talk to Hakon at the location marked below.
Get to the station through the metro tunnels

Open the Airlock
After reaching the metro tunnel, open the airlock at the end of the path. Here you will be captured by the Peacekeepers. The choices here don’t have any consequences. After that, go back and talk to KHakon.
Find the brass knuckles thief
Check the video below to see how to Find the brass knuckles thief. This covers the following objectives:
– Find Hubert Kerbatsos
– Catch Hubert
– Climb up to the GRE building roof
– Find Hubert
– Look for Maya
Report to Aitor & Talk to Hakon
Next, report back to Aitor in the metro tunnel. The choices here don’t have any consequences. Then go back and talk to Hakon.
Question Sophie about Lucas
Now go to Bazaar and talk to Sophie.
Get some work at the Bazaar to earn Sophie’s Trust
This objective does not trigger for everyone, but if it does, then you will need to talk to all the people of interest in Bazaar and complete all the side quests in Bazaar. Use the survivor sense to highlight the people of interest and talk to them. Below I will mention all the people of interest and the side quests that I had to complete to progress in the objective.
Carlos: Talk to carlos. He will be leaning against a chair as shown in the picture below.
Teresa: Talk to Teresa, who you will find in the Fruits and Veggies stall as shown below.
Dodger: Dodger will be sitting next to the bartender as shown in the picture below. After talking to him, you will get “The Ball is in Your Court” side quest. You must complete this side quest.
Damien: Talk to Damien (See the picture below), to get the “Missing Persons” side quest. You must complete this side quest.
Once these activities are over, Sophie will call you over.
Ask the craftmasters about the crystals
Go inside the Bazaar and talk to the craftsman as shown below.
Talk to Sophie
Go back and talk to Sophie to complete the quest.
