In Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (KCD2), The Reliquary is a side quest that tasks you with recovering the legendary Sword of Sir Valentine.
Starting Location
To begin this quest, head northwest of Sedletz Monastery and look for a small camp where you’ll find the Humble Knight. Speak with him, and he will ask for your help in retrieving Sir Valentine’s sword from his grave.
Find the sword of Sir Valentine
Sir Valentine’s sword is located inside the graveyard area of the Sedletz Monastery. Head to the chapel in Sedletz Monastery and locate the trapdoor in the center of the area.
Descend into the basement, where you’ll find several coffins. Approach the large sarcophagus at the far end of the room and interact with it – but the sword is missing. Lastly, examine the base of the sarcophagus for further clues.
Forge a replica of Sir Valentine’s Sword
At this moment, Henry decides to forge a replica of the sword since the original is no longer in the sarcophagus. Visit the blacksmiths in Kuttenberg to forge a replica of Sir Valentine’s sword. To craft it, you’ll need one of each of the following items:
- Copper
- Straight sword guard
- Cow skin
- Coin sword pommel
- Frankfurt steel
- Scrap metal
If you don’t the required ingredient then you can purchase all the items from Blacksmith in Grund and cow skin from butcher.
After forging the sword, return to the camp and speak with the Humble Knight. He will turn hostile, forcing you to either pass a Very Hard Presence skill check or engage in combat and defeat him. Regardless of your choice, this will conclude the quest.
