This guide shows how to complete “The Stillsands” Relic Ruin in Horizon Forbidden West. You will be able to complete this ruin only after you have completed story quest 5, Death’s Door.
The Stillsands Relic Ruin Walkthrough
The location of the ruin is marked in the picture below. Enter the ruin through a hole on the wall on the northern side. Jump down to the bottom of the ruin.
When you are at the bottom, climb up the stairs and drop down the crate as shown in the picture below.
Push the crate to the northwest corner of the ruins. Here you will find a firegleam as shown below. Ignite the firegleam to blow up the wall. You will be able to do this only after you have completed story quest 5, Death’s Door.
Push the crate through the hole on the wall and place it below the ledge as shown in the picture below. Climb up the ledge and open the valve as shown below.
Opening the valve will make water flow from the pipe and drain out through the drain on the wall. Push the crate inside the drain to block it. This will make the ruin flood with water.
Now go to the southeast corner of the ruin. Here you will find the storage room module key on the stairs as shown in the picture below.
Pick up the module key and use it to open the storage room on the north of the ruin as shown below.
Inside the storage room, you will find a crate. Take out the crate and drop it in the water. You will have to take this crate to the southern edge of the ruin, which is on the opposite side of the storage room as shown in the picture below. You can take the crate there, by standing at the three spots marked by the arrows in the picture below. Stand on the marked spot and use the pullcaster to pull the crate to your location. Then go to the next spot and repeat this until the crate is on the southern edge of the ruin.
When the crate is on the southern edge, jump on the crate and climb up the ledges to reach the upper level as shown in the pictures below. On the upper level, you will find the ornament. Pick up the ornament to complete the relic ruin.
