This guide shows the complete walkthrough of ‘The Subterranean Trials of Drake and Serpent‘ world quest in the Enkanomiya area, which was introduced in the Genshin Impact 2.4 update. This quest starts automatically after the completion of “The Entrance to Tokoyo” World Quest.
Go to the ruins up ahead
As the quest starts, jump down and fly northeast to the platform as shown in the picture below. Then proceed ahead towards the objective marker to reach the ruins. You will encounter enemies in the path, but you need not fight them. Simply run away to escape the enemies. Follow the objective marker to reach the ruins.
Investigate the ruin ahead & Defeat the opponents
Climb up the ruins and you will see a sealed mechanism as shown in the picture below. Few enemies will spawn here. Defeat them to unseal the mechanism.
Examine the mechanism and open the great door
Once the triangular mechanism is unsealed, attack it to activate the mechanism. Activating the mechanism unlocks the path to enter the ruin as shown in the picture below. If you find that the mechanism is damaged, try switching to Evernight and they will fix themselves right up.
Go into the ruins & Talk to the person on the second floor
Now enter the ruin and talk to the person named Enjou on the second floor. He will tell you to find Golden Bridle at the back of the library.
Go to the back of the library and seek out the Golden Bridle
Exit the ruin and go to the north at the location shown in the pictures below. On reaching the highlighted location, the objective will be updated to ‘Investigate the rear of the library and solve the puzzle’.
Investigate the rear of the library and solve the puzzle
At the highlighted location, you will find 2 Triangular Mechanisms as shown in the picture below. Attack both the mechanisms to activate them. This will move the walls, opening up the path to go inside and reach the chest containing the Golden Bridle.
Obtain the Golden Bridle, Go to the library and talk to Enjou
Once the path opens up after hitting the triangular mechanisms, go inside and open the chest to get the Golden Bridle. Then go back to the library and talk to Enjou.
Follow Enjou’s instructions and explore up ahead
After talking to Enjou, come out from the library and go east to reach the location marked below. As you reach the marked location, the objective marker will update.
Then go through the tunnel ahead of you to reach the Teleport Waypoint. East of the waypoint, you will see a ball-shaped phase gate as shown in the picture below. Go through the phase gate to reach the other side.
After landing, go south towards the objective marker as shown in the picture below. At this objective marker location, you will find another phase gate. As you reach the marked location, the objective marker will again update. Then enter the phase gate.
After going through the phase gate, you will reach a floating island with another phase gate and a Key Sigil on it as shown in the picture below. Get the Key Sigil and then enter the phase get.
This phase gate will take you to the floating island south of it. Here you will find a Teleport Waypoint. Then take the path southwest, to reach the location marked in the picture below. As you reach here, the objective will update.
Go to the broken bridge in front of the Dainichi Mikoshi
Now go north to the location marked in the picture below. To reach there you will have to cross two ball-shaped phase gates. At the marked location, you will find Enjou. Talk to Enjou.
Go to the Dainichi Mikoshi
After talking to Enjou, take the path north to reach the teleport waypoint marked as ‘1’ in the picture below. Then take the stairs to reach the teleport waypoint (marked as ‘2’) at the top of Dainichi Mikoshi. In front of the Teleport Waypoint ‘2,’ you will find the entrance to Dainichi Mikoshi.
Investigate the mechanism
Now enter Dainichi Mikoshi. Then climb the stairs and interact with the mechanism.
Gather the Three Fragments
To gather the three fragments, you will have to complete three sub-quests mentioned below.
– The Trail of Drake and Serpent (fragment at the Evernight Temple)
– The Heart of Ouroboros (fragment at The Serpent’s Heart)
– Dreams in the Gaps (fragment at The Narrows)
Talk to Aru
Once you have gathered the three fragments, go back to Dainichi Mikoshi and Talk to Aru. If Aru is not there then switch to Evernight by interacting with the mechanism. Then talk to Aru and give the three fragments and Golden Bridle to him.
Open the way to the final trial & Go to the base of the Dainichi Mikoshi
Now interact with the switch marked in the picture below to reach the base of the Dainichi Mikoshi.
Defeat the Bathysmal Vishap
After reaching the base, you will have to defeat the Bathysmal Vishap.
Defeat the Abyss Lector: Fathomless Flames — The Devouring Benthic Flame
Now you will have to fight and defeat The Devouring Benthic Flame.
Obtain the Bloodbranch Coral
Now interact with the corpse of Bathysmal Vishap to get the Bloodbranch Coral.
Return to Sangonomiya Shrine and talk to Tsuyuko
Now go back and talk to Tsuyuko in Sangonomiya Shrine to complete the quest.
