This guide shows the complete walkthrough of Thops Questline in Elden Ring
Thops Location (Quest Starting Location)
You will find Thops in the Church of Irith, which is in Liurnia at the location marked in the pictures below.
Talk to Thops and he will tell you about the Academy of Raya Lucaria. He will tell you that Glintstone Key is required to enter the Academy. He will also ask you to give him a Glintstone Key if you find an extra so that he could go to the Academy to learn sorcery.
Glintstone Key Location
Go north from the Temple Quarter, and you will find the Glintstone Key sitting on a statue as shown in the pictures below. Pick up the Glintstone key, and now you will be able to enter the academy.
Get inside the Academy of Raya Lucaria Puzzle
You will find the entry gate of the academy near the “South Raya Lucaria Gate” site of grace as shown in the pictures below. Use the key on the gate to enter the Academy of Raya Lucaria. Defeat the Red Wolf of Radagon inside the academy.
Get the extra Glintstone Key inside the Academy of Raya Lucaria
I will show the path to get to the Glintstone Key from the Debate Parlor as shown below.
Get out from the Debate Parlor and turn left.
Climb up the stairway to the top and turn left as shown below.
Then jump down, climb up the stairs and go left as shown below.
From there, jump down on the roof below. Then keep walking south on the roof until you reach the tower as shown below.
Climb up the ladder on the tower as shown below.
Then keep going ahead and turn right at the end of the path as shown below.
Walk on the ledge and jump on the roof ahead as shown below.
From the edge of the room, jump down two levels below. Then turn left and jump down one level further below as shown below.
Jump down on the roof below. Go on the right side of this roof and jump down on the ledge below as shown in the picture below.
Walk on the ledge and jump on the next roof. Then climb up the broken window to enter the building as shown below.
Walk on the beams of this building and jump down on the chandelier to get the Glintstone Key.
Give the Glintstone Key to Thops
Go back to the Church of Irith and give the Glintstone Key to Sorcerer Thops. On doing this, you will get Erudition Gesture, which is required to open the Converted Fringe Tower sealed door. Thops will also tell you that now he will go to the Academy to learn Sorcery.
Find Thops in the Academy of Raya Lucaria
Go to the Schoolhouse Academy as shown in the picture below.
Go outside the building through the door next to the Schoolhouse Academy Site of Grace. Here you will find the corpse of Thops. You will get 3 items from the corpse: Thop’s Bearing Bell, Academy Glintstone Staff, & Thops’s Barrier spell.
Give the Bell Bearing to Twin Maiden Husks
Give Thop’s Bearing Bell to Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold. Now some spells will be available to purchase from the Bell Bearing shop.
