Timawak Shrine: Against the Flow

This guide shows how to complete the Against the Flow Puzzle in the Timawak Shrine in the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom game, released on 12th May 2023. The Timawak Shrine is at the location shown in the pictures below.

Enter the shrine and cross the lava using the slabs as shown in the picture below.

Proceed ahead until you reach a dead end. Pick up 3-4 slabs from the lava and attach them to craft a makeshift bridge. Use the bridge to reach the sphere as shown in the picture below.

Craft a makeshift bridge again to reach the chest ahead as shown in the picture below. Open the chest to get a Strong Zonaite shield.

Now pick up the sphere and go back to the main platform. Insert the sphere into the hole in the ground as shown in the picture below to open the iron gate ahead.

Proceed ahead to reach the final area. Hit the fan on the right side to start the wind blowing as shown in the picture below. Then use the wind to climb up the platform ahead.

Pick up the water hydrant there and place it facing the lava. Hit the hydrant so that water starts flowing into the lava, forming slabs. Pick up a slab and attach the fan to it as shown in the picture below to form an Airboat. Place the Airboat into the lava. Then hit the fan so that the wind starts blowing, pushing the airboat ahead. It will take you to the other side. Get the Light of the Blessing there to complete the shrine.
