Where to find Tongue of Madness & Timmask Spores | Baldur’s Gate 3

This article will guide you on where to find Tongue of Madness & Timmask Spores to complete the quest “Help Omeluum Investigate the Parasite” in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Make your way to the Myconid colony in the Underdark. There you will find a hobgoblin trader called Blurg located just northeast of the Myconid Colony fast-travel point. Speak with him and tell him about the Tadpole and your story. If players tell him the truth about their situation then Blurg will introduce you to his friend Omeluum.

Omeluum who is a Mind Flayer wishes to help in investigating your unique situation. When you accept his request, you’ll get tasked with finding two mushrooms called the Tongue of Madness and the Timmask Spores. Both of these mushrooms are present inside the Arcane Tower.

The Arcane Tower is located to the south of the Decrepit Village and to the west of the Selunite Outpost in Underdark. Starting from the front gate of the Arcane Tower, go to the balcony on the left side. The player should destroy several arcane turrets in front of the entrance before entering the tower.

There are some mushrooms attached to the side of the tower. Use the “Grant Flight” Spell to jump off the balcony and fly onto the blue mushrooms. Use the spell until you reach the very bottom floor of the tower.

Level 1

Once you reached the bottom, go towards the glowing trees. Pick a Sussur Bloom and proceed to the Tower’s back door.

Interact with the door by picking the lock, casting a knock spell, or hitting it with a melee weapon until it breaks. Head inside the Arcane Tower with Sussur Bloom. (You are at Level 1)

Place the Sussur Bloom on the generator which is located in the center of the room. Click on the generator so the combined item screen appears, then drag the Sussur Bloom into the empty slot. This activates the generator and deactivates the Arcane turrets.
