The Curious Slateback is a unique mount in World of Warcraft: The War Within, featuring an orange-reddish slateback design. To get this mount, you need to complete the Ecological Succession Weekly quest in The Oasis region of the K’raesh area.
How to Start the Ecological Succession Weekly
To begin, head to the Oasis in Caresh, located in the top-right area of the map. There, you’ll find the questgiver who offers the Ecological Succession Weekly. Once you complete this series of quests, you’ll unlock the Ecological Succession Weekly quest. Completing these quests will complete 97-98% of your progress bar only.
Filling the Progress Bar
One of the hardest parts of this quest is filling up your progress bar to 100%.
1. Fishing for Hydro Bites (1% each)
Head to the waters in the Oasis. Every time you fish, you’ll catch Hydro Bite items, each granting 1% progress. You can do it an unlimited number of times.
2. Data Collection Drones (3–4% each)
All around the Oasis, you can find little Data Collection Drones that you can click on. These are small little guys at each location. Each one will give you about 3 to 4% more on your progress bar. Here is the location of data drones.
Claiming the Curious Slateback Mount
After completing the bar, you’ll receive a Wriggling Pinnacle Cache. Opening this cache gives you a chance at the Curious Slateback mount.
