Starting Location
The “Shadows of the Past” quest becomes available after completing the exploration quest “Hidden Dangers in Peaceful Life.”
WaitXiaoyu’s message
To start the quest, the player should wait for 24 hours in real-world time to receive Xiaoyu’s message. Time cannot be skipped. After 24 hours speak with Xiaoyu in the city of Jinzhou to start the quest.
Head to the Mine
Follow the quest marker to reach the Tiger’s Maw Mine which is located south of Jinzhou. Enter the mine to start a cutscene.
Inquire Modi and Leili About the Situation
At the mine talk to Modi and Leili.
Talk to Huayu
Speak with Huayu, he is standing next to Modi.
Follow Uncle Hong and Head to the Basement Floor of the Mine
Follow the green marker and glide down into the mine then go to the large ice wall located at the entrance of the mine.
Eliminate the Ice Chrysalises
Proceed to your left and defeat a group of enemies, consisting of three Ice Chrysalises. You will encounter Level 26 enemies at this location. There are three groups of Ice Chrysalises in the area.
Head to the Depths of the Mine
Head deeper inside the mine to find Uncle Hong.
Go Deeper Into the Mines and Defeat the Phoenix Army Force
Proceed deeper into the mines and defeat the enemies along the path.
Defeat the Kaguya Army
In the end, the player will reach a larger area where they need to defeat level 35 Lampylumen Myriad: Mistfield Tunes boss.
Finally, speak with Uncle Hong again to end the quest. You will earn the Days Gone By trophy.
