A Helping Hand is a side tale in Ghost of Tsushima – Iki Island DLC Expansion, where your goal is to help a peasant three times in the open world to build his house. Initially, you will not find the tale in your journal. Once you helped the peasant three times, the side tale gets added to your journal automatically. Finally, you need to visit him at his house to complete the side tale. It is one of the seven side tales in Ghost of Tsushima – Iki Island. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the A Helping Hand side tales.
A Helping Hand – The starting point
Helping Hand is a hidden tale that doesn’t show up in your journal nor there is any marking on the map about the starting location of the tale. To complete the side tale, you first need to find a peasant and help him to build his house that was destroyed by the Mongols. You can locate him by the white smoke in the sky that signals his location. He won’t always be there. If he’s not there, check back later.
First Location – WOOD
First, you can locate him in the wood as shown in the below image. Location is southeast of Mount Takenotsuji and north of Tatsu’s Ladder as indicated on the map. In case you don’t find him there then check back later. You can see the white smoke in the sky from far away when he’s present there. Interact with him and give 3 x Yew Wood to help him in building the house.
Second Location – FIELD
For the second time, you need to look for him in the field. Approx location is an open field in the middle of Iki island or east of Kidafure battleground and west of Zasho River. You can search for white smoke in the sky from far away to find his exact location. In case you don’t find him there, then check back later. Interact with him and give 6x Predator Hides to help in building his house.
Third Location – BEACH
Finally, you need to locate peasant near the beach in the northernmost part of the Iki island, west of Yahata lighthouse. I have attached the map location below. You can search for white smoke in the sky from far away to find his exact location. Speak with him and give at the beach and give 10x Iron. If he is not available there check back later.
Talk to the builder at his homestead
After helping the man (peasant) three times, A Helping Hand side tale gets added automatically in your journal. Finally, you need to visit him at his house that is situated west of Fort Sakai. I have marked the location of his house in the below map for reference. Talk to him to end the secret side tale. As a reward, you will receive Charm of Iron Grip for completing the side tale
