This guide shows the complete walkthrough for Alexander the Warrior Jar’s questline in Elden Ring.
Alexander Location 1
The first location of Alexander is south of Saintsbridge in Limgrave as shown in the picture below. You will find Alexander stuck in a pothole. Hit him from behind to free him. Then talk to him until all the dialogue options are exhausted.
Alexander Location 2
Next, you will find Alexander inside Gael Tunnel. Enter Gael Tunnel from the back entrance as shown in the pictures below. Go inside the cave and turn right to find Alexander inside a room. Talk to him until all the dialogue options are exhausted.
Alexander Location 3
Now you will find Alexander in Redmane Castle, which is at the southern end of Caelid as shown below. Even if you did not find Alexander, in the previous two locations, he will be here. You will be able to talk to him before fighting General Radahn. You will also get the option to summon him to help you in General Rahadn boss fight. To start the fight, you will need to challenge Radahn. The trigger to get Radahn to accept your challenge is by defeating a certain number of bosses. The number of bosses you need to defeat for Radahan to accept your challenge is not yet clear. So, if Radahan is not accepting your challenge, then you will need to defeat more bosses. After defeating Radahn, you can talk to Alexander again inside the boss’s lair.
Alexander Location 4
Before going to Alexander’s next location, you will be needing oil jars. To get oil jars, go to the underground area of Siofra. From the Siofra River Bank Site of Rest, go north and climb up the wooden platform as shown in the second picture below. From there, make your way inside the hidden room behind the waterfall by following the steps marked in the second picture below. Inside, you will find an Abandoned Merchant. Purchase Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook [17] from him. Now you will be able to craft Oil Jars. Craft a few Oil Jars.
You will find Alexander south of Artist’s Shack in Liurnia at the location marked below. From the Artist’s Shack Site of Grace, go south to reach the marked location. You will again find Alexander stuck in a pothole. This time, you won’t be able to free him by simply hitting. Throw a few oil jars at Alexander to lubricate him. Then hit him from behind to free him. Then talk to him until all the dialogue options are exhausted.
Alexander Location 5
For the next location, make your way to the Seethewater Terminus Site of Grace in Altus Plateau as shown below.
From there, go west towards Fort Laeidd and then go south from there to reach the lava field.
In the lava field, you will find a dragon. Defeat the dragon and then climb on the rock on the left side as shown in the picture below.
Here you will find Alexander warming himself in the lava. Talk to him and exhaust all the dialogue options.
Alexander Location 6
Next, you will see Alexander on the east side of Foot of the Forge Site of grace as shown in the pictures below.
Here you will find a golden summon sign, where you can summon Alexander and he will come and help you against the Fire Giant Boss Fight.
Alexander Location 7
The final location where you will meet Alexander is in Crumbling Farum Azula, where you will be able to reach after unlocking the Forge of the Giants. In Crumbling Farum Azula, make your way to the Dragon Temple Altar as shown below.
From the Dragon Temple Altar Site of Grace, go downstairs through the door on the north side. Then turn left and drop down as shown below.
Go down the stairs on the left side and climb through the windows on the left side as shown below.
Then continue north. At the end of the path, climb up the spiral staircase on the right side. Then you will see a Stormsword key door as shown below. Open this door and inside you will discover Dragon Temple Lift Site of Grace.
Take the elevator down. As you walk out of the elevator, you will see a destroyed building in front as shown below. That is where you need to go. After exiting the elevator, go left. Then turn right and climb up the stairs. Then turn right again to reach the fallen structure. Here you will find Alexander for the final time. He will request you to fight with him. On defeating him, you will receive Shard of Alexander and Alexander’s Innards (It is required for Jar Bairn’s questline). This completes Alexander’s questline.
