Starting Location
After completing a couple of Brant’s quests in Vernworth, Brant will mention that someone has been looking for you to get the quest. This quest appears after the main quest “Monster Culling”. Also, expect your pawns to make comments like “I sense eyes upon us.”
Contend with your Pursuer
Captain Brant will advise you to roam around Vernworth to attract the stalker. Stalker is a guy dressed in a brown cloak and wearing a black hoodie who generally follows you throughout Vernworth’s marketplace. Also, look for your pawns to comment like “I sense eyes upon us.” which indicates that the stalker is nearby.
He’s the only one who likes to run away if you approach him, while everyone else walks normally. When you see this man in the black cloak, sprint and chase him down. Once you’re near enough, use the grab button to tackle him.
Speak with him, and he will inform you that he has been employed to report on your movements. You have an option at that point: Refuse to let him go or demand compensation.
Option 1: Refuse to let him go
If you decline Bermudo’s offer, he will attack you. After the cutscene, Brant will take him in his custody.
You can wait three days and speak with Brant again to end the quest. You come to know that someone is watching your activities from Battahl.
Option 2: Ask for compensation
If you accept his offer, he will pay you 5000 G and then run to end the quest.
