This article will guide you on how to complete all the objectives of the main quest “The Stolen Throne” in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Starting Location
Speak with Captain Brant, at The Stardrop Inn in Vernworth. You need to select the dialogue “Tell me of the masquerade” to initiate the quest. He will give you the Eventide Mask that you need to equip to sneak inside the party.
After initiating the quest follow the following steps to complete the quest
Step 1: Get formal clothes from the Comptroller’s Home
To obtain formal clothes (Courtly Tunic and Courtly Breaches), go to the Comptroller’s Home in Vernworth’s Noble Quarter. Refer to the location below.
Courtly Breaches and Courtly Tunicis are located in two different bedrooms on floor 2 (F2).
Step 2: Equip the Mask and formal clothes
Step 3: Go to Vernworth Hall
At night time, go to the Vernworth Hall in Vernworth Castle. It is located in the west area of the Castle. Masquerade occurs once every two nights. If it is not occurring, go to Vernworth Hall the next night.
Step 4: Go to Vernworth Hall
Enter Vernworth Hall to trigger a cutscene that shows the Sovran walk down the hallway.
Now you must follow the same path. From the main entrance, enter the same hallway and go along the wall until you reach a plain wall between two storage rooms. As you approach the wall, the secret entrance will automatically open.
Step 5: Follow the hidden passage
Follow the path behind the secret wall to reach the Rose Chateau where Wilhelmina helps Arisen spy on the fake king. Finally, report your findings to Captain Brant at night in The Stardrop Inn to end the quest.
