Elden Ring: Domain of Dragons Painting Puzzle
This guide shows the location and solution of all 3 painting puzzles in Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, released on 21st June 2023.
Incursion Painting Location
You will find the painting inside Artist’s Shack as shown in the pictures below. From the Main Gate Cross Grace Site, go south following the path marked with a red line in the map below to reach the Artist’s shack.
Incursion Painting Solution
Go to the location marked in the pictures below to see the ghost. The ghost will disappear in a few seconds, dropping the Serpent Crest Shield for you to collect.
Domain of Dragons Painting Puzzle Location
Starting from Gravesite Plain Site of Grace, head in the north direction. Cross the Ellac Greatbridge to reach the Castle Front Site of Grace. Go Northeast from there to reach Castle Ensis. Defeat the area boss Rellana to open up the northeast map. Proceed northeast to reach Shadow Keep Main Gate Plaza Grace Site as shown in the picture below.
Defeat the Mini-Boss at the Main Gate Plaza. Then go out through the door on the west side as shown in the picture below. Climb up the wooden stairs outside as shown in the second picture below to reach the upper floor. Then climb up another wooden stair to reach the dining hall.
Enter the Dining Hall and come out from the other side to reach the roof. You will see several boats on the roof. Go to the eastern edge of the roof. There you will find a ladder going down as shown in the picture below.
Go down the ladder. Then go behind the waterfall next to the ladder as shown in the picture below to reach a secret room. You will see a ladder on the floor of the secret room. Go down the ladder and proceed ahead to reach the Domain of Dragons Painting as shown in the second picture below.
Domain of Dragons Puzzle Solution
First, you need to reach Dragon’s Pit dungeon. From the Castle Front Site of Grace, travel in the southeast direction of the road to reach the Pillar Path Waypoint. Then, travel southwest along the path marked by stone dragon statues to reach the Dragon’s Pit dungeon. Refer to the map below to see the path. Before entering the Dragon’s Pit, it is recommended to travel south to get Southern Shore Map Fragment from the Cerulean Coast.
Enter Dragon’s Pit and follow the path with lit braziers and candles. It will lead you to a large ramped chamber. Go south there and you will reach a chamber with an Altar and a Pit. Jump into the large pit as shown in the picture below. This will take you to the boss chamber, where you will face Ancient Dragon Man. Defeat him to get the Dragon Hunter’s Great Katana.
Don’t use the teleporter to leave the dungeon after defeating the boss. Open the door on the south side instead and proceed ahead to reach the Dragon’s Pit Terminus Grace Site. Leave the dungeon and proceed east to reach the Foot of the Jagged Peak. As soon as you enter the area, you will encounter a dragon. From there, keep going east along the mountain to reach the Spirit Spring as shown in the second picture below. Use it to climb up the cliff and then cross the bridge to reach the Foot of the Jagged Peak Grace Site as shown in the third picture below. The path you need to take is shown with a blue line in the map below.
From the Grace Site, climb up the path on the south side to reach two dragons. From there, head east in the path through the mountains and use a couple of Spirit Springs as shown in the picture below to climb up. Then proceed ahead and you will reach an area with giant rolling boulders. Escape the boulder and take the path going east as shown in the second picture below. There you will find Ancient Dragon Senessax.
From the dragon lair, climb up the path going north to reach the Jagged Peak Mountainside Grace Site as shown in the pictures below.
From the Jagged Peak Mountainside Grace Site, proceed southwest as shown in the picture below. You will find dragon corpses all along the path. Soon you will reach a Spirit Spring as shown in the second picture below. Use it to jump up to the upper level.
From there, jump down and go northwest to find a chair as shown in the pictures below. Stand near the chair for a few seconds and a ghost will appear. The ghost will disappear after a few seconds, dropping a Rock Heart. Use Rock Heart when you do not have any armor pieces equipped. This will convert you to Dragon Form. You will remain in the Dragon Form until you die. The only way to go back to your original form is also by dying. You can use Rock Heart as many times as you want to convert to the Dragon form.

The Sacred Tower Painting Location
You will get this painting inside a small cave northeast of Scorched Ruins as shown in the pictures below.
The Sacred Tower Painting Solution
The Ghost Location is on top of a cliff as shown in the picture below. I will show the path starting from Moorth Ruins. The path to the ghost location has been marked with a red line in the map below. Enter the cave north of the Moorth Ruins as shown in the second picture below. Exit the cave and then go west.
Go through the graveyard and exit the area through the hole in the wall as shown in the picture below. This will take you to the Ancient Ruins Base Grace Site.
From the Grace Site, take the path going west as shown in the picture below. This will lead you to a Spirit Spring at the foot of a cliff as shown in the second picture below. The exact location of the Spirit Spring is marked on the map posted above.
Use the Spirit Spring to climb up the cliff. There you will find another Spirit Spring. Use it to climb to the top of the cliff. After reaching the top of the cliff, go south as shown in the picture below. This will take you to a ghost as shown in the second picture below. The ghost will disappear after a few seconds, dropping a Spiraltree Seal for you to take. This completes the puzzle.
