There are five types of collectibles in Fatherland Follies mental level. The types of collectibles are Figments, Emotional Baggage, Memory Vaults, Half-A-Minds, and Nuggets of Wisdom. This article shows the location of all the collectibles and how to get them.
Fatherland Follies Emotional Baggage (5)
Emotional Baggage is collectibles in Psychonauts 2 that can be found in the Mental Levels. These are the person’s emotional baggage, which is represented as various types of bags, all of which cry relentlessly. For each baggage, you will find a matching tag. Reunite the tag with its corresponding bag to resolve an emotional issue.
HatBox
Tag:
After getting down from the first ride, look for the Mental connection bubble and use it to ascend to the higher level of the building containing the royal family statue. Go behind the clouds and use rope trampolines to get to the top, where Hatbox Tag can be found.
Baggage:
After obtaining the tag, proceed to the statues of Ford and Maligula in the adjoining room where the royal family statue is located. A secret room can be found beneath Maligula’s feet. Follow the track in and complete the go past the fast rotating platforms using Time Bubble. The Hatbox can be found at the end.
#42 – Fatherland Follies Dufflebag
Tag:
There is a small door with a red bulb near the end of the first ride. Enter a new room by going inside the door. Destroy the glittery wall inside the room. Use the Dark Thought upgrade for your Mental Connection power to get to the end of the wooden platform with the Tag on it.
Baggage:
This bag can only be found after exiting the first ride. Locate the Mental connection bubble and use it to ascend to the higher level of the building that houses the royal family statue. Proceed to the adjacent room and turn left. As shown in the image, there is a section where the family is fleeing. The Dufflebag is positioned in the background, near massive pillars.
Purse
Tag: After getting down from the second ride, head to the giant painting where you can change the mural around. below is the image of the poster. Make it an ice-themed painting and jump through the hole on the poster. You will find the Purse tag there.
Baggage:
The Purse can be found in the second part of the ride, You will arrive at a location with a character on a death bed. You can find the purse on the left-hand side of the bed.
Suitcase
Tag:
After the second ride, you will speak with Propagandaneer. Following the cutscene, you will enter a new area leading to a graveyard. The suitcase tag can be found on the left, behind a grave.
Baggage:
The Suitcase can be found in the gift shop at the end of the level. You’ll have to return to get it, though.
Steamer Trunk
Tag:
The Steamer Trunk can be found on the ride’s Whispering Rock section. You’ll find yourself in an open area, fighting enemies in front of fans. After the battle, enter a small door with a red bulb to access a new area. Follow those Mental Connections until you come across a memory of Loboto stealing the brain of agent Zanotto. To find the tag, follow those Mental Connections behind them.
Baggage:
The Steamer Trunk is located on the Whispering Rock section of the ride. Follow Mental Connections and take the first the right. You’ll find the Steamer Trunk there.
Fatherland Follies Memory Vault (2)
Memory Vaults are a type of collectible item in Psychonauts 2. It has the shape of a cute little pig-like safe. Each mind has two or fewer Memory Vaults running around. You can attack Memory Vaults with a melee attack only to reveal a slideshow with a backstory on the character whose mind you are currently inside.
Fatherland Follies Memory Vault 1/2
Memory Vault is near the statue of Maligula during the first part of the ride. On the right of Maligula’s feet is a rail track. Follow it to find the first Memory Vault.
Fatherland Follies Memory Vault 2/2
It is located in the Whispering Rock section of the level. Go into one of the smaller cabins at the end and follow the path. I have attached a screenshot for reference. Inside the cabin break the shinning wall with PSI blast and follow the path to find the Memory Vault at the end.
Fatherland Follies Nuggets of Wisdom (3)
Nugget of Wisdom are collectibles that you will find in the Mental Worlds. They give you Intern Credits, which allows you to upgrade your Psychic Powers.
Fatherland Follies: Nugget of Wisdom 1/3
As you progress in the mission you will get the objective to find an egg. The Nugget of Wisdom is inside the room next to where Propagandeer is standing. The room contains egg cups.
Fatherland Follies: Nugget of Wisdom 2/3
This Nugget of Wisdom is inside the room where you will find the egg. In the room, you will find a poster of Lady Lucktopus. Burn the poster and go inside to get the Nugget of Wisdom.
Fatherland Follies: Nugget of Wisdom 3/3
The final Nugget of Wisdom is in the Whispering Rocks. It is inside a cabin marked with a yellow arrow in the picture below.
Fatherland Follies Half-A-Minds (2)
Half-A-Minds are collectibles that you will find in the Mental Worlds. Collecting 2 of these will help you increase your mental health pool by 1 brain.
Fatherland Follies: Half-A-Mind 1/2
This Half-A-Mind is in “The Fall of Grulovia” section of Fatherland Follies. During the first ride, you will enter an area with lots of cardboard people dancing. As you enter the area you can see a waterwheel on the left side as shown in the picture below. The Half-A-Mind is behind the waterwheel. You can reach there through the small passage on the right side of the waterwheel as shown in the picture below.
Fatherland Follies: Half-A-Mind 2/2
The final Half-A-Mind is in the “Life In Exile” section of Fatherland Follies. This is after completion of the first ride when you will be tasked to find an egg. Go to the console with an intercom. Change the prop to Cacti & Fish and change the background scenery to the Desert Wasteland as shown in the picture below. You have to enter the small hole in the hut in the background scenery. Jump on the ledges at the back of the cacti and fish to enter the hole. You will find the Half-A-Mind here at the backside of the room.
Fatherland Follies Figments (98)
