This walkthrough will show you how to complete the objective “Find a Way to Activate the Mechanism” in Gotham Knights Case 2. In this case, you will go to scan a lamp and then follow two wires to interact with hidden buttons.

The way most of the puzzles work in the game is by connecting 2 correct clues. Mark a clue on the left and a clue on the right by pressing Square (PlayStation) / X (Xbox), then confirm with Triangle (PlayStation) / Y (Xbox). If the chosen clues are correct, a green checkmark will appear; otherwise, a red line will show for the incorrect clues.
How to Find a Way to Activate the Mechanism
Once reach the courtyard, observe the blood stains on the floor. You have to use the Augmented Reality ability by holding D-Pad Down to find a mechanism under the door. You will observe two wires coming out of the mechanism.
Left Wire
This wire leads you to a library. Clear out the enemies, then scan the bust. Interact with the Bust to press the hidden button under it.
Right Wire
From the library, go up the staircase and then go down the next set of stairs to reach the hallway. Turn around to see the white outline of the wire going to one specific book.
Finally, backtrack to the mechanism in the courtyard of the Powers Club. Interact with the lamp to open a secret stairway leading down.
