How to get Fossil Pokemon in Grand Underground | Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl (BDSP)

This guide shows how to reach the Grand Underground, how to find Pokemon Fossils in the Grand Underground, and how to Pokemon from the fossils in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl (BDSP), released on 19th November 2021.

To reach the Grand Underground, you will need to get an Explorer Kit. In the Grand Underground, you will find Fossils that can be revived into Pokemon. Below is the list of Fossils and the Pokemon that you will get from that fossil.
1) Cranidos (Skull Fossil)
2) Shieldon (Armor Fossil)
3) Kabuto (Dome Fossil)
4) Omanyte (Helix Fossil)
5) Aerodactyle (Old Amber)
6) Lileep (Root Fossil)
7) Anorith (Claw Fossil)


How to get Explorer Kit

You will get the Explorer Kit in the Underground Man’s House, which is right next to Pokémon Center in Eterna City as shown in the picture below. Enter the house and talk to the Underground Man to receive the Explorer Kit. The Explorer Kit will be in your Bag’s Key Items pocket.


How to reach Grand Underground

Once you have the Explorer Kit, go to your Bag’s Key Items pocket and use the Explorer Kit to enter the Grand Underground. When you are done exploring the Grand Underground, press ‘Y’ to exit.


How to get Pokemon Fossil

Once you are in the Grand Underground, look for the locations marked with a yellow diamond on the minimap. Pressing ‘R’ at such locations will reveal a glowing spot on the wall. Dig the wall at this spot and you might find a Pokemon Fossil.


How to Revive Fossils to get Pokemon

Once you have a pokemon fossil, take it to the Oreburgh City Museum (See the pictures below for location). Talk to the NPC sitting in the reception and give him the fossil. Go outside and come back after some time to receive a Pokemon. Below is the list of Fossils and the Pokemon that you will get from that fossil.
