This guide shows how to complete the objective “Gather the three fragments” of the world quest “The Subterranean Trials of Drake and Serpent“ in the Enkanomiya area in Genshin impact 2.4. Aru will ask you to retrieve three fragments of Reins of Revival, which would then be stitched together with the Golden Bridle. To collect three fragments you need to complete three more subquests as shown below. You can obtain one fragment after completing each subquest.
The guide shows how to complete all three subquests of Enkanomiya Region in Genshin impact 2.4 to gather the three fragments.
#1 – The Trail of Drake and Serpent
Go to Evernight Temple
As the subquest start, you will need to head to Evernight Temple and follow the trail of the Bathysmal Vishaps. Glide to the location marked on the map. You will find the entrance along the cliff wall.
Follow the trial of Bathysmal Vishaps and search for the secret room (0/3)
After reaching the Bathysmal Vishaps which is a cave-like ruin, walk along the trail and interact with three investigate spots. These locations are marked on the map.
Go to the secret room
After interacting with all three Investigate spots the game will prompt you to enter the secret room by activating a nearby mechanism.
Defeat all opponents
Eliminate all three Rockfond Rifthound Whelp to activate the cube mechanism. Interact with the cube mechanism to open the secret room.
Activate the mechanism and open the gate to the secret room
Inside the secret room, you will find a mechanism puzzle. There are two mechanical levers attached to two different pillars and one in the middle that can be activated with the normal strike. You will also find an ‘of sun and moon‘ mechanism in the secret room at one corner. Refer to the below image. Interact with them in mechanism in this order:
Step 1: Interact with “of sun and moon” inside the secret room to set to Whitenight.
Step 2: Interact with the central mechanism. This should force the stone wall to slide.
Step 3: Interact with the mechanism on the left, to drop the iron grilled door.
Step 4: Interact with the central mechanism to slide the stone wall.
Step 5: Interact with the mechanism on the right, to open the iron grilled door.
Step 6: Interact with the central mechanism to slide the stone wall.
Step 7: Interact with the mechanism on the right, to open the iron grilled door.
Defeat all opponents
After the puzzle is solved path is opened, you can head deeper into the secret room. Defeat the Rifthounds to unlock the Chest and obtain the Quest Item Reins of Revival Fragment (Temple).
#2 – The Heart of Ouroboros
Go to the Serpent’s Heart
As the quest starts follow the quest marker to the altar in the Serpent’s Heart. Either run past the monsters or eliminate them along the way.
Activate the secret message at the Altar in the Serpent’s Heart
Just outside the altar, you’ll find a mechanism of “of sun and moon” that can switch between Whitenight and Evernight. I have attached an image of it below. Interact with it to set to Evernight. This will cover the altar with a transparent wall with symbols, which you can’t get past from the outside.
Solve the Riddle at the altar in the Serpent’s Heart
After activating the Evernight, enter into the altar and interact with the Investigate spot. This will prompt a cutscene and the symbols on the ground will light up.
Each symbol is marked with dots. These dots indicate the order in which the transparent walls should be activated. All you have to do is to cross the transparent walls from the inside of the altar in the same order as the symbols on the ground.
So walk past the transparent wall with the symbol that matches with one dot symbol on the ground. Come head back inside again, walk past the transparent wall with symbols that matches with two dots symbol on the ground. Similarly, do the same for all other three transparent walls.
If you do it right, you’ll complete the Serpent’s Heart puzzle in Genshin Impact and obtain a fragment for the main quest in Enkanomiya.
#3 – Dreams in the Gaps
Activate the mechanism and open the gate to the secret room
As the quest starts, follow the quest marker to The Narrows as marked on the map.
Activate mechanism outside the entrance door evernight. You can enter only if the mechanism is set to evernight. Defeat the Rimebiter Bathysmal Vishap so you can activate the mechanism easily.
Investigate the secret room
Head inside and attack that Triangular Mechanism to open the gate and make a path to the secret room.
Once inside, trigger and follow the Seelie that will lead you through a hole in the ceiling.
Go through the hole in the ceiling and look for a whitenight/Evernight mechanism. Activate mechanism to whitenight and open the chest.
This will give you the fragment of the Reins of Revival and complete the quest!
