This guide will show you how to complete the Favor (Side Quest) – The Elven Sanctum in the area of “The Forbidden Sands” in God of War Ragnarok released on November 8th, 2022. The Elven Sanctum is a Favor (Side Quest) for Beyla and Byggvir in God of War Ragnarok.

The Elven Sanctum Starting Location
The Elven Sanctum can be started by talking to the elves Beyla and Byggvir in Freyr’s Camp, after returning to Freyr’s Camp during Main Quest 6: The Reckoning.

Below is the objective-wise guide for the Favor
Explore the Elven sanctum in Alfheim
Head to the western part of the Barrens in Alfheim and use the rune lock to open the gate. Go through the linear path to reach The Forbidden Sands.
Go to Elven Sanctum as marked on the map and climb up.
Climb up the Elven Sanctum to find an artefact at the right side of the entrance gate
Search for clues about Elven history
Head inside the sanctum and Search for clues about Elven history
Pick up lore on a circular table inside the Elven Sanctum
Another lore on a circular table inside the Elven Sanctum.
Climb up the ledge to reach the upper level of the Elven Sanctum to find the lore on a shelf.
Interact with a chest in the upper level of the Elven Sanctum.
Collect the Consul’s Journal. It is a Quest Item – Favor: The Elven Sanctum.
In the upper level of the Elven Sanctum interact with another lore.
Leave the Sanctum
Defeat The Maven while leaving the Elven Sanctum. The Favor – The Elven Sanctum finished automatically when you picked up the Consul’s Journal (collectible #13) and left the Elven Sanctum.
