How to get Magneton / Where to find Magnemite
Magnemite is a dual Electric and Steel-type Pokemon in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. Magnemite can be evolved to become Magneton by just leveling up at level 30. You will find Magnemite in the Grand Underground of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl (BDSP).

There is a total of 18 hideaways/Biomes in the Grand Underground. You will find a Magnemite in Spacious Cave, Whiteout Cave, Icy Cave, and Glacial Cavern. These caverns can be identified on the minimap by their icon shown in the picture below. You will need to press ‘Y’ to open the minimap. Where to find a Thunder Stone
The Thunder Stone is one of many evolution items. You can use it to evolve Magnezone. There’s only one Thunder Stone to be found in the base game overworld. This walkthrough will show you where to look for a Thunder Stone in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
- The Thunder Stone can be found behind the Vista Lighthouse in Sunyshore City. Follow the raised bridges to the right until you reach a staircase. Go to the bottom of a long staircase, where you’ll find the item Pokeball.
- After defeating the Elite Four, you’ll be able to find another on Route 229, just north of the Resort Area.Thunder Stones can be obtained by digging out the bulging walls found in the Grand Underground.
How to evolve Magneton into Magnezone
To evolve Magneton into Magnezone, you need to give a Thunder Stone to Magneton. You can do this by opening your bag, selecting the Thunder Stone, and then choosing the Magneton in your party. Doing this will cause a short animation to play out, and once it’s finished, Magneton will immediately evolve into Magnezone
