After you deliver a ripe quince to Isaac, leave the area and return after a few days. This time, Isaac wants you to find the second volume of the grimoire.
After you finish speaking, as you take a few steps back, his wife and daughter will approach you and tell you not to give him the book. This allows you the option to deliver either the real second volume or a false volume.
Find the grimoire’s second volume
Visit Ibrahim’s Scrap Store at the Checkpoint Rest Town. Buy “On the Transference of Souls 2” for 2000 G.
Request a forgery of the book for 2400 G. Wait two days and speak with Ibrahim to acquire a fake book titled “On the Transit of Souls 2”.
Deliver “On the Transference of Souls 2”
Go back to Isaac. Deliver the false volume “On the Transit of Souls 2”.
Follow Isaac
Start following Isaac, and he will try to use the book. If you give him the counterfeit, they will survive and he will give up trying to use the grimoire. This ends the quest.
If you give him the real one, he will kill his wife and daughter.
