This walkthrough will guide you through everything you need to know on how to solve the request “Octillery’s Ink” in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. An NPC will ask you to find a Pokemon as she sees culinary potential and wants to try using it to make a new dish. To unlock this request, you will need to have access to Basculegion to surf a Pokemon.

How to Unlock Basculegion
Basculegion is unlocked in the third area of your journey across Hisui: Cobalt Coastlands. Iscan (NPC) tells you that you need to catch a Dusclops, to make Basculegion’s favorite food and earn its trust. You can catch Dusclops near Deadwood Haunt. Once you catch it, bring it back to Iscan and he will help you to cook the right food for Basculegion. A cutscene will then play in which Basculegion decides you’re a worthy rider, at which point you’ll gain access to Legends: Arceus.

How to Unlock Octillery’s Ink
An NPC, Radisa from the village sees culinary potential in Octillery, and she wants to try using it to make a new dish. You can find Radisa next to the clothing shop in Jubilife Village. Talk to her to unlock Request no. 53. I have marked her location in below image.
Where to Find Octillery in Pokemon Legends Arceus
You can be found an Octillery ink at Islespy Shore and Castaway Shore in Cobalt Coastlands. I have marked the location on the map below. Surf along the coast in your Basculegion to find Octillery ink. The Octillery in Castaway Shore is a Level 50 Alpha Pokemon so, it is more recommended to go to Islespy Shore.
To complete the quest you need to reach level 10 in Octillerys Ink Pokedex. Once you have caught and defeated enough of Octillery ink to finish its Pokédex entry, return to Radisa. This will end the request and Radisa NPC will reward you with five Bean Cakes and one Medium Exp Candy.
