This article will guide you on how to complete the objective “Offer Hugo Guidance” of the side quest “Off the Pilfered Path ” in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Starting Location
Players must first complete the side quest Mercy among Thieves. To start the quest talk to the head guard of the Bakbattahl Gaol. The location of Bakbattahl Gaol is marked below.
Day 1: Talk to Hugo
Speak with Hugo. He will tell you the reason why he joined the Coral Snakes.
Day 2: Talk to Brefft & Hugo
The next day, first speak with Brefft (another prisoner). His cell is located to the left of Hugo’s cell. He will tell what happened to Hugo’s parents and the location of the new Coral Snake hideout.
Then speak with Hugo. You may either tell him what Brefft said about his parents.
Day 3: Hugo Escapes
Come back the next day and talk with Dietrich, who should be standing directly beside Hugo’s cell. Hell will tell you that Hugo has escaped from prison.
Ancient Battleground
Proceed to the Coral Snakes hideout in the Ancient Battleground. Go to the castle’s top floor to find Lanzo and the other Coral Snakes and defeat them. Finally, speak with Hugo in the castle to end the quest.
