miHoyo has finally released Genshin Impact 2.0 update on 21st July 2021. Update 2.0 Introduces a new Japanese themed region, Inazuma, which the developers have been teasing with for a long time now.
Inazuma is the third of the seven regions of Genshin Impact relevant for main storyline progression. Prior to update 2.0, Genshin Impact had two explorable regions- Mondstadt (European Themed) and Liyue (Chinese Themed). The update brings new Archon quests (Main Story Questline) and several world quests. In version 2.0, three areas, Narukami Island, Kannazuka, and Yashiori Island in the Inazuma region will be available.
This walkthrough will show you the location of the rust-worm key and will also show you how to find the barrier. Rust-Worm Key is needed to reach the barrier during the world quest Sacrificial Offering. The barrier is to the south of the abandoned shrine, but to reach the barrier you need to open a locked gate using the rust-worm key.
Where to find the Rust-Worm Key?
The rust-worm key is at the bottom of the old water well in Konda Village. You need to descend into this well and explore the bottom of the well during the world quest “A Strange Story in Konda”. In the area where you explore the well and solve the shrine puzzle there is a electro-barrier on the right side of the red tree. Climb the wall behind the electro barrier to reach a cell with lots of loot. The Rust-Worm Key is on one of the tables.
If you didn’t pick-up the rust-worm key during the world quest “A strange Story in Konda”, you can return back into the bottom of the well to collect the key later on. Check out the images to see the location of the well and the rust-worm key.
How to Find the Barrier in Sacrificial offering?
Head back to the abandoned shrine after collecting the rust-worm key. Head to the river to the south side of abandoned shrine (check the images below). The river has a locked gate at its north end. Use the rust-worm key to open the gate and reach the Barrier.
