This guide shows the complete walkthrough for Sellen’s questline in Elden Ring.
Step 1: Talk to Sellen in Waypoint Ruins
Go to the basement of Waypoint Ruins in Limgrave as shown in the picture below. There you will have to defeat Mad Pumpkin Head boss. After defeating the boss, proceed inside and talk to the NPC named Sellen. She is a Sorcery Spell Merchant. tell her that you want to learn sorcery from her.
Step 2: Get Comet Azur
You can proceed further in the quest until later in the game when you reach Altus Plateau. Here you need to find Sorcerer Azur and get Comet Azur spell from him.
Many players are finding it difficult to find Azur, so I will explain the path to reach him. Use the Grand Lift of Dectus, to enter Altus Plateau. From there, go north to reach Erdtree Grazing Hill Site of Grace as shown below. Take the rocky path uphill towards the northeast direction from there. Then go west to reach the Seethewater River Site of Grace s shown below. Follow the river from there and you will reach the Seethwater Terminus Site of Grace. Then go west towards Fort Laiedd and then take south to reach the lava field. From there, take the path counterclockwise around the lava field and eventually, you will reach the Primeval Sorcerer Azur Site of Rest. The entire path that you have to take is marked in the picture below. This is a long path and will take some time. Talk to Azur and he will give you Comet Azur spell.
Step 3: Talk to Sellen
Go back and talk to Sellen in the Waypoint Ruins. Talk to her and show her Azur’s Sorcery. Talk to her again and she will ask you for a favor. She will ask you to find Master Lusat. She will give you a Sellian Sealbreaker, which is required to reach him.
Step 4: Find Master Lusat
To reach Master Lusat, go east from Caelem to Fort Faroth as shown below. From Fort Faroth, drop down the mountain on the south side. Here you will find an illusionary wall on the mountain behind the cemetery as shown in the pictures below. Hit the illusionary wall to reveal a cave.
Go inside the cave, and when the cave end hit the illusionary wall to reveal the path further ahead. After two illusionary walls, you will reach an area with long purple crystals. The objective here is to go to the bottom level. Walk till the end of the first crystal and jump down on the crystal on the right side as shown below.
Then walk straight and jump down on the crystal on the left side below. Here you will see a blue seal down below as shown in the picture below. Jump down here to reach the bottom level.
Defeat the enemy here and then use Sellian Sealbreaker to beak the seal. Go inside to find Master Lusat. He will give you Stars of Ruin.
Step 5: Talk to Sellen
Go back and talk to Sellen in the Waypoint Ruins. She will tell you that it’s not her actual body, but only a projection. She will request you to find her body in the Weeping Peninsula. Exhaust all the dialogue options for more reward.
Step 6: Find Sellen’s Body in Weeping Peninsula
The body is in Witchbane Ruins, which is south of the Fourth Church of Marika in the Weeping Peninsula as shown in the pictures below. You will find her in the basement of the ruins. talk to her and she will give you Sellen’s Primal Glintstone. if for some reason she has turned against you, then you can talk to her and restore her to normal by praying at the Church of Vows in Liurnia.
Step 7: Find Sellen near Ranni’s Rise
Go to Ranni’s Rise in Liurnia as shown in the pictures below.
From the entrance of Ranni’s Rise tower, go a little northeast and you will find another ruins as shown in the picture below.
This ruin has an illusionary floor at the spot shown in the pictures below. Hit this spot to make the floor disappear, revealing a path to the underground.
Walk down the stairs and go to the wall on the opposite end of the room. This wall is also illusionary. Hit the wall to reveal a hidden room. Here you will find another Sellen. Give the Glintstone to her.
Step 8: talk to Jerren in Redmane Castle Plaza
For the next step, you will have to defeat Radahn Boss at the Redmane Castle Plaza on the southern edge of Caelid as shown in the picture below. After defeating Radahhn, talk to Jerren inside the tower on the northern portion of the Redmane Castle Plaza. He will tell you that he will be leaving the castle.
Step 9: Go to Witchbane Ruins
Go back to the Witchbane Ruins in the Weeping Peninsula. You will find Jerren also there along with Sellen. Jerren will tell you the truth about Sellen.
Step 10: Go to ray Lucaria Grand Library
Go to Raya Lucaria Grand Library. Here you will see two summon signs as shown in the second picture below. Select the red sign to side with Jerren and select the golden sign to side with Sellen. This will effectively give two endings for the questline.
Ending 1: Challenge Sorceress Sellen
If you select the red sign, you will have to kill Sellen. This will give you Sellen’s Bell Bearing and Witch’s Glintstone Crown. Talk to Jerren after the fight and he will give you an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
Ending 2: Assist Sorceress Sellen
If you select the golden sign, you will have to kill Jerren. This will give you Accentric’s Armor Set. Talk to Sellen after the fight and she will give you Glintstone Kris dagger. You can collect Witch’s Glintstone Crown from the library as shown below. You will also be able to purchase incantations from her shop.
