Bounties in Ghost of Yotei are short side quests where your goal is to track down and eliminate a specific enemy target. You can pick up these Bounties from the bounty boards located at inns in each region. This guide will walk you through how to complete the Soma the Condemned Bounty in Ghost of Yotei, released on October 2, 2025.
Starting Location
You can begin the Soma the Condemned bounty by visiting the Bounty Board located at the Yotei Shadow Inn in the Yotei Grasslands. After completing the other bounties in this region, speak with Kojiro, the Bounty Broker seated beside the board. Kojiro will assign you the Soma the Condemned bounty.
Where to find Soma the Condemned Bounty
Head to Lake Jozan, found in the northwest corner of the Yotei Grasslands. As you arrive, look for a flight of stone steps leading to a cave carved into the cliffs.
At the entrance, you’ll see a locked wooden gate, and if you listen closely, you’ll hear the sound of flute music coming from inside. Equip your Shamisen and play the “Song of Soma.” This special song is automatically unlocked when you reach the gate. Once you play it, the wooden gate will open, revealing the hidden cave.
Once inside the cave, follow the linear path ahead. Climb up the ledge and use the branch to reach the top. From there, turn right and crawl through a hole in the mountain wall.
Continue to progress until you reach a bamboo barrier, then use your grappling hook to pull it down and clear the way.
Inside, you will encounter Soma the Condemned and defeat him in a duel.
When the battle ends, fulfill Soma’s final wish by performing the Shamisen alongside him one last time, and you’ll be rewarded with Soma’s armor.
