Elden Ring: St. Trina & Thiollier Complete Questline
This guide shows the complete walkthrough of St. Trina & Thiollier NPCs’ questlines in Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, which released on 21st June 2023. Click here for a Video Walkthrough.
Step 0: Talk to Thiollier
Starting from Gravesite Plain Site of Grace, head in the north direction. Cross the Ellac Greatbridge to reach the Castle Front Site of Grace. Then, take the road going southeast to reach the Pillar Path Cross. The path is marked with a blue line in the picture below. You will find Thiollier there as shown in the second picture below. Talk to him and he will ask about St. Trina. You can skip this step and go directly to St. Trina.
Progress in the main story until you reach Shadow Keep. When you are near Shadow Keep, you will get a message that “Somewhere, a great rune has broken”, as shown in the picture below. After you get this message, the path leading to St. Trina will become open.
Step 1: Reach St. Trina’s Location
Go to the giant hole at the southern tip of the map as shown in the picture below. If you don’t know how to get there, then check this link to see how to get the Southern Shore map. The fissure location is not too far from the map location.
You need to make your way down the giant hole at the marked location. Carefully platform your way down the hole until you reach the bottom. There you will find The Fissure Grace Site.
From The Fissure Site of Grace, go east, and soon you will reach the Stone Coffin Fissure Site of Grace. From there, take the path going down in the south direction. Follow the path and it will take you to the Fissue Cross Site of Grace as shown in the picture below.
Proceed down in the north direction. Then go east on the bridge and climb up the broken building at the eastern edge of the bridge as shown in the picture below. From there, go north to reach the Fissure Waypoint Site of Grace as shown in the second picture below.
Go east from the Grace Site and take the path going up as shown in the picture below. This path will lead you to a big open area. Climb up the stairs there to reach a giant head as shown in the second picture below.
Stand on the giant head and jump down as shown in the picture below. You will pass through the gap on the ground to reach the Garden of Deep Purple as shown in the second picture below.
There you will be attacked by Putrescent Knight. Defeat him and go into the cave from which he came. There you will find St. Trina as shown in the picture below. Talk to her but don’t drink the nectar that she offers.
Step 2: Talk to Thiollier
Go back to Thiollier at Pillar Path Cross (refer to Step 0 for the location). Talk to him and tell him St. Trina’s whereabouts.
Step 3: Go to St Trina’s Location & Talk to Thiollier
Go back to St Trina’s location in the fissure and you will find Thiollier there as shown in the picture below. Talk to him and exhaust all the dialogues.
Step 4: Imbibe Trina’s Nectar until she talks to you after you die
Talk to St Trina and drink her nectar. This will make you die. Keep drinking the nectar until she talks to you during the death as shown in the second picture below. You will have to die four times before she talks to you.
Step 5: Pass on Trina’s Words to Thiollier
Talk to Thiollier and pass on Trina’s words to him. This will make him angry. Keep talking to him until you exhaust all the dialogue.
Step 6: Imbibe Trina’s Nectar
Talk to St Trina and drink her nectar again. She will again talk to you during the death.
Step 7: Defeat Thiollier
Thiollier will become agitated about St Trina’s talking to you and will invade you. Defeat him to get St Trina’s Smile.
Step 8: Imbibe Trina’s Nectar
Talk to St Trina and drink her nectar again. She will again talk to you during the death and will tell you to kill Miquella.
Step 9: Burn the Sealing Tree & Go back to St Trina
Progress in the main story until you have to burn the Sealing Tree as shown in the pictures below. Burn the Sealing Tree and go back to St. Trina’s location.
Step 10: Talk to Thiollier
Burn the Sealing Tree and go back to St. Trina’s location. Talk to Thiollier there as shown in the picture below. Pass on St Trina’s words to him. Talk to him until all the dialogues are exhausted.
Step 11: Imbibe Nectar & Talk to Thiollier again
Talk to St Trina and drink her nectar. She will talk to you during your death. Now go and talk to Thiollier and pass on the message. repeat this process until Thiollier keeps saying “A-AH” as shown in the picture below.
Step 12: Summon Thiollier in the fight against Leda
Progress in the main story till you get to the point where you have to fight Leda, just before the final boss, as shown in the picture below. You can summon Thiollier in this fight to help you.
Step 13: Summon Thiollier in the final Boss Fight
You will be also able to summon Thiollier during the final boss fight of the DLC.
Step 14: Collect Thiollier’s gears
After the final boss fight, rest on the Grace Site. Then you will be able to collect Thiollier’s gears from his corpse as shown in the picture below. You will get Thiollier’s Hidden Needle, Thiollier’s Mask, Thiollier’s Garb, Thiollier Gloves, and Thiollier Trousers. This completes the questline.
