Starting Location
This quest is available automatically when you reach the Scrap Plains area of the Wasteland.
Locate the source of the distress signal
The player will receive a distress signal Scrap Yard area. Proceed to the location and then go down into the canyon as shown on the map. Interact with the robot (named D1G-g2r) that’s stuck under the car and agree to free it.
Reset the claws crane’s control system
The robot will ask you to operate Ticker, Buzzer, and Clunker to manually lift the crane and free him.
Operate Ticker
It is located on the easternmost side of the scrap yard as shown on the map. Push the yellow box forward and use the handholds and poles to reach the platform. Interact with the Ticker.
Operate Buzzer
The buzzer is the objective marker located on the southern side. Push the yellow box and climb it to reach the 1st level of the platform.
Push the smaller cart onto the nearby pressure plate to lower the gate. Then push the yellow box inside and climb up to the 2nd level. Interact with the Buzzer.
Operate Clunker
Proceed to the objective marker located in the middle. Place the two small carts on the pressure paper to lower the gate.
Then push the yellow box to the side of the tower so that you can climb it and reach the ladder. Climb up the tower and interact with the console to free up the robot.
Finally, speak with D1G-g2r to end the quest.
