The Lost Treasure | God of War Ragnarok

This guide will show you how to complete the favor (Sub-Quest) “The Lost Treasure” in the area of “Alberich Hollow” in God of War Ragnarok released on November 8th, 2022. The Lost Treasure is a Favor (Side Quest) for Elder Wayfarer Spirit in God of War Ragnarok.

Note: To Access Alberich Hollow you will need the Spear (It gets unlocked from Main Mission 10: Forging Destiny).

Favor Guide: The Lost Treasure

The Lost Treasure can be started by talking to the Elder Wayfarer Spirit on Dragon Beach. Go to Dragon Beach, which is depicted on the map. Climb the wooden building on the left side of the beach using the golden chain.

Throw a spear toward the wind that is coming out of the wooden pole, which will create a route for you to climb up. On the right corner is a ghost and he will give you the favor ‘The Lost Treasure‘.

Objective: Find the treasure in Alberich Hol

Jump over to the large wooden bridge, then proceed to the left of the bridge.

Go left from the bridge to reach a cave.

Pick an explosive projectile from a nearby burning vase and blast the golden ore. Continue your journey inside the cave until you reach a miniboss at the end of Alberich Hollow. After defeating the miniboss, you can find the Yggdrasil Rift on the left.

Pick an explosive projectile from the nearby burning vases. Then look to the right side of the rift location and throw it at the golden ore blocking the path.

Now lift the rock blocking the cave path to continue along the path. The Legendary chest is on the left. Open it to complete the objective of “The Lost Treasure” favor.

Find the Spirit’s son

Head north to Alberich Island. Use your Spear to climb up the ledge and speak to the Wayfarer Spirit.

Find the treasure on Alberich Island

The treasure is inside a Legendary Chest on Alberich Island. After speaking with the ghost, proceed to the end of the route.

Destroy the blue sound stones on the left and you will see Raven flying in circles. After killing the Raven, proceed down the path and look towards the water wheel for a boulder that you can demolish with your Spear.

This raises the grappling point, allowing you to jump across to the platform in the water. The Yggdrasil Rift can be found on this platform.

Head right from the Yggdrasil Rift and use the grappling hook at the end to swing to the other side. Here you will find another Treasure Map. Climb onto the ledge to spot another Odin’s Raven through the opening in the rock.

Legendary Chest (Jewel of Yggdrasil)

Toss a spear toward the glowing rock to blast it. This will free up the water wheel’s chain. Pull the water wheel’s chains. After pulling them all the way, use an axe to stop the blue cog on the right.

Jump back onto the middle platform, then hurl a spear at the glowing rock near the frozen cog to blow it up. This reveals a geyser that powers the elevator.

Return to the chains and drag them all the way down, but this time fire a purple arrow at the cog and then the axe to keep it frozen.

Return to the middle platform and use your axe to freeze the geyser. Now, jump on the elevator by the water wheel and unfreeze the geyser for the elevator to rise.
