This guide shows how to solve all the Thunderbird Puzzles in the Tsurumi Island of Inazuma Region. To solve Thunderbird Statue puzzles, you will need the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget, which you will get during ‘Octave of the Maushiro‘ World Quest. Solving all the Thunderbird Statue Puzzles unlocks “Thunderbird’s Lineage” achievement.

4-10) Stone Slate Puzzles
There are 7 Stone Slates on the Tsurumi Island. To get the stone slates you will need to solve Thunderbird Statue puzzles. Click here to see the complete walkthrough to get all the 7 Stone Slates. You get 2 Luxurious Chests by collecting the seven stone slates.
11) Hidden Cubes Puzzle on Tsurumi Island Northeastern Edge
There is a Thunderbird statue in the northeast portion of Tsurumi Island. Use the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget in front of the statue to reveal 5 cubes. To solve the puzzle, you need to make the same number of leaves glow up on all the cubes.
Cube 1: Hit 3 times
Cube 2: Hit 1 time
Cube 3: Hit 2 times
Cube 4: Hit 0 times
Cube 5: Hit 2 times
12) Hidden Electro Pillars North of Ceremonial Site
At the location highlighted below, you will find two Electro Barriers and a Thunderbird Statue. Don’t use the feather now. Hit both the pillars with an electro attack, which will make a chest spawn. Come back later. Now the statue will be glowing. Now use the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget in front of the statue to reveal 2 Electro Pillars. Now hit the four pillars with an electro attack. This will solve the puzzle, revealing a Remarkable Chest.
13) Hidden Rotating Cubes Puzzle North of Ceremonial Site
Go to the highlighted location and use the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget in front of the statue to reveal 4 rotating cubes. To solve the puzzle, you need to make all the cubes towards the east.
Cube 1: Hit 3 times
Cube 2: Hit 1 time
Cube 3: Hit 2 times
14) Hidden Stormstone Puzzle Near Oina Beach
Go to the highlighted location and use the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget in front of the statue. This will reveal a Stormstone. Hit the Stormstone with an electro attack. This will make the statue near it glow. Now use the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget in front of this statue, revealing another Stormstone. Hit this Stormstone, revealing another statue. Keep doing this until you have hit 4 Stormstones. Hitting the 4th hidden Stormstone completes the puzzle and an exquisite chest will spawn.
15) Chirai Island: Hidden Cubes Puzzle
Go to the highlighted location in Chirai Shrine and use the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget in front of the statue. This will reveal 4 cubes down below on the west side. To solve the puzzle, you need to make the same number of leaves glow on all the cubes. Solving the puzzle spawns a Remarkable Chest.

16) Oina Beach: Hidden Electrogranum Plant
At the highlighted location in Oina Beach, the Thunderbird Statue is inside a Thunder barrier. Summon Electrogranum and go inside the barrier. Then use the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget in front of the statue. This will reveal an electrogranum plant and a Remarkable Chest inside another Thunder barrier. Summon electrogranum from the plant and then go inside the barrier to get the chest.
17) Autake Plains: Hidden torch Puzzle
Go to the highlighted location in Autake Plains and use the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget in front of the statue. This will make 4 Torches appear. One torch is in front of the statue and one at the back. Jump down the west side of the statue to find another statue. Swim across the river on the south side of the statue to find the final torch. Hit the 4 torches with pyro, making an exquisite chest to spawn near the statue.
18) Shirikoro Peak Underground: Torch Puzzle
Jump down Shirikoro Peak Underground. Go through the two doors in the Shirikoro Peak underground. Then turn right to see a Thunderbird Statue. Use the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget in front of the statue to reveal 5 torches on the wall. Light up the torches shown below by hitting them with a pyro attack. The clue for this puzzle will be on a wall in this room. On solving the puzzle, an exquisite chest will spawn.
19) Shirikoro Peak: Glowing Symbol Puzzle
Use the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget in front of the Thunderbird Statue at the location shown below. This will make some symbols appear on the mountain walls. The clue will be on the wall as shown in the third picture. Some of the symbols in the clue will be glowing. You need to activate the same symbols around the wall (Sequence doesn’t matter). Completing the puzzle spawns an exquisite chest.
20) Shirikoro Peak: Hidden Rotating Cube Puzzle
You will find a Thunderbird Statue at the north of Shirikoro Peak. It won’t be glowing, so you won’t be able to use the feather on it. You will have to solve two rotating cube puzzles nearby to make the statue glow. Once the statue is glowing, Use the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget in front of the statue to reveal 4 hidden rotating cubes. Hit them to make them face south. This will solve the puzzle and an exquisite chest will spawn.
21) Mt Kanna: Glowing Symbol Puzzle
Use the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget in front of the Thunderbird Statue at the location shown below. This will make some symbols appear on the mountain walls. The clue will be on the wall left of the statue. Some of the symbols in the clue will be glowing. You need to activate the same symbols around the wall (Sequence doesn’t matter). Completing the puzzle spawns a precious chest.
22) North of Ceremonial Site: Glowing Symbol Puzzle
Use the ‘Peculiar Pinion‘ gadget in front of the Thunderbird Statue at the location shown below. This will make some symbols appear on the mountain walls. Activate all the symbols on the wall to complete the puzzle. Completing the puzzle spawns an exquisite chest.
Do you know how I can activate statues number 11 and 15? They’re always half-lightened, I can’t use the peculiar pinion on them
if im not mistaken, not being able to light them means youve already done the puzzle
there’s one missing inside the shiriroko peak ruin entrance, situated inside the ruins.
