This guide shows the complete walkthrough of the “Time and the Wind” world quest on the secret Island east of Mondstadt.
How to unlock Time and the Wind Secret Quest
To unlock the quest, go to the secret island east of Mondstadt as shown below. You can reach there by freezing the water using a Pyro character. After reaching the island, interact with the sundial to start the quest.
Uncover the secret of the uninhabited island
From the sundial, turn right and go to the southern portion of the island. There you will find a small tend and near it, you will find a pile of stone. Break the stone and take the ‘Ragged Notebook’ underneath it. The notebook says to observe the shadow of the sundial between 2 AM to 5 AM.

Open the menu and change the in-game time to 2 AM as shown in the first picture below. Then go back to the sundial. Use the elemental vision and you can see a wind cluster behind the sundial. Jump to reach the wind cluster and then use Anemo Skill to disperse the wind cluster.
Disperse the Cluster of Wind
Cluster of Wind 1/3: From the previous location, go left. You can see the wind cluster on water. Freeze the water to reach the cluster. Use Anemo Skill to disperse the wind cluster.
Cluster of Wind 2/3: From the previous location, go north. The wind cluster on top of a rock in the water. Use Anemo Skill to disperse the wind cluster.
Cluster of Wind 3/3: The final wind cluster is on top of the big pillar near the sundial. Use Anemo Skill to disperse the wind cluster.
Scatter the Deposit of Wind
Jump down and Scatter the Deposit of Wind at the center of the island using Anemo Skill. This will make the ‘Eye of the Storm’ mini-boss appear. Fight the mini-boss. When its health bar is almost depleted, it will fly away.
Pursue the Eye of the Storm
Jump into the wind current and use it to pursue the Eye of the Storm to the ‘Thousand Winds Temple’ in Mondstadt, where you will find another Sundial.
Search for the Eye of the Storm
Near the Sundial you will find a small red tent as shown below. Read the thick notebook inside the tent. Then change the time to 2 AM again. Stand in front of the sundial and use elemental vision and you can see 4 wind clusters. Use Anemo Skill to disperse the wind clusters. This will make ‘Eye of the Storm’ appear. Defeat it.
Talk to Henry Morton
Once the ‘Eye of the Storm’ is defeated, talk to Henry Morton, who you will find standing nearby. Talk to him to complete the quest.
