Lapras is a Water and Ice Type Transport Pokemon that you will encounter only in the post-game of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl (BDSP) with a 5.9% Chance To Catch with a regular Pokeball. Lapras can only be obtained once a player becomes Pokemon League Champion and get the National Dex. To get National Dex players must first beat the Elite Four and see all 150 Pokemon in the base Sinnoh Pokedex. This guide shows the locations where you will encounter Lapras in the wild.

Where to Find Lapras in Pokemon BDSP
A player can find Lapras inside of Victory Road, once you reach Victory Road just keep Surfing until a Lapras pops up.
How to get through Victory Road
Enter the cave through the entrance near the Pokemon League pokemon Center as shown below. To navigate through the cave, you will have to use several Hidden Moves (HM). Click here to see how to get all HMs in the game.
After entering the cave, walk over the wooden bridge ahead of you. Then turn right and walk through another wooden bridge as shown below. Now turn left and walk through another wooden bridge and then climb down the wall using “Rock Climb” HM as shown below.
Now turn left and go till the end of the path. Then climb up the stairs and move ahead. Just after a little while, climb up the two flights of stairs on the left side to enter the next room.
After entering the next room, move south by destroying the rocks in the path using “Rock Smash” HM. Then proceed ahead and move the three rocks in the path using “Strength” in the sequence as shown in the second picture below. This will clear the path to proceed.
Proceed in the left direction. At the end of the path, move the heavy rock on the left side in the south direction as shown in the picture below. Then destroy the rock south of the rock that you just moved. After that move the heavy rock again, but this time in the north direction as shown in the second picture below. This will clear your path.
Now proceed ahead by destroying the rock in your path as shown below. As you proceed, you will find your path blocked with a heavy stone. Move it as shown in the second picture below. Then move north and then move downstairs at the end of the path to enter the next room.
After entering the room, walk over the wooden bridge ahead of you. Then use “Rock Climb” HM to climb down the wall as shown in the picture below. Then turn left and go in the north direction. Then turn right and go till the end of the path, where you will find a staircase leading to the next room.
On entering this room, go down the stairs. Then use “Surf” HM to cross the water in the north direction as shown in the picture below. Then use “Surf” to move further north in the water. Eventually, you will reach a waterfall as shown in the second picture below. Use “Waterfall” to climb up the waterfall.
After climbing the waterfall, move north then turn left to reach the location shown in the picture below. Now, again use “Surf” to go south in the water. After crossing the water, climb the stairs on the left side to reach the next room.
In this room, go in the left direction and take the first path going south as shown in the picture below. Then turn right and climb up the rocky wall as shown in the second picture below. After climbing the rocky wall, move straight ahead to reach the cave exit. Go through the exit to get out of Victory Road into the open area.
After coming out from the Victory Road, go north and climb up the waterfall using “Waterfall” HM. After you have climbed the waterfall, you will see the Pokemon League in front of you.
