This article shows how to find a way into the Village Heart Caves and clear the corruption in the Village Heart Caves for ‘Adira’s Regret’ mission.

Find a way into the Village Heart Caves
The cave entrance is at the location as shown below. You can easily reach there. To open the cave entrance you will need to solve a puzzle as described below.
In front of the cave entrance, you will find a circular plate and some bombable rocks on either side of the cave entrance. Bomb the rocks to levitate them. Shoot the switch on the floating rock on the right side as shown below. Then stand on the circular plate and use pulse to open the cave door.
Clear the corruption in the Village Heart Caves
Enter the cave and slide down to the water at the bottom. Swim through the water to reach the land in front. You will have to defeat a few enemies here. Then swim through the tunnel on the right side. After exiting the tunnel you will reach an area with a broken bridge. Bomb the rocks as shown below to make them levitate. Then shoot the switch on one of the floating rocks to align it properly so that you can jump through it to reach the other side.
As you move ahead you will come to an area with red water. Keep moving through the area and eventually, you will reach a location with red water with bombable rocks in it as shown below.
Throw a bomb on the rock to make the rocks levitate. Jump to the top of the central platform and then shoot the crystal as shown below. This will make the central platform levitate further up.
Then shoot the crystal on the vertical rock as shown below. This will make the rock horizontal and then jump at the top of it. Turn around and jump to another floating rock. From here you can jump up to reach the upper level. Then go straight ahead.
As you move ahead you will reach an arena with a teardrop at the center. There is a crystal above the teardrop. Shoot the crystal and water will drop on the tear. This will make sprout a plant from the teardrop. Summon tear from the plant and use it to destroy the corruption around the arena. You will also have to defeat Rot Eater Mini-Boss here.
After clearing the corruption, move ahead to reach a closed door with a stone pillar on either side of it. Throw a bomb on the left stone pillar to separate it into three parts. Shoot the crystal on the rocks to rotate them and form the shape as shown below. This will activate the left pillar.
Now, throw a bomb on the right stone pillar to separate it into three parts. Shoot the crystal on the rocks to rotate them and form the shape as shown below. This will activate the right pillar.
When both the pillars are activated, the door will open as shown below. Now stand on the circular plate in front of the door. Use pulse while standing on the plate and it will start moving forward, carrying you at its top.
As the moving platform is carrying you, you will be attacked by many enemies. Keep an eye out for exploding enemies. Shoot at the red bulb at the back of the exploding enemies to make them explode before they reach you. Finally, the platform will carry you to the land on the other side. Leave the platform and keep moving forward. You will have to face many enemies on the way. Eventually, you will reach an arena with corruption. Here you will see two stone pillars.
Throw a bomb on the pillar to make floating platforms as shown below. Jump through the platforms to reach the corrupted bulb and destroy it.
Now throw a bomb on the other pillar to make floating platforms. Jump through the platforms to reach the second corrupted bulb and destroy it. Once both the corrupted bulbs are destroyed, the red water will disappear. Then jump down the arena. Here you will have to defeat the Mage boss. After defeating the enemies in the arena, destroy the central corrupted bulb. After the corruption is gone, stand on the central platform and use pulse to open the door in front.
As you move forward you will reach the area as shown below. Jump on the platforms on the left side.
Then jump down the platform to reach below as shown in the picture below.
Here you will find bombable rocks as shown below. Bomb the rocks and they will move apart, revealing a blue flower behind them. Grapple to the blue flower to reach the platform underneath it.
Here you will find more bombable rocks. Bomb the rocks to form a path as shown below. Jump through the rocks to reach the other side.
Bomb the rocks here as shown in the picture below.
Bombing the rocks form two platforms numbered ‘1’ and ‘2’ as shown below. Grapple on the blue flower to reach platform 1. Then shoot the crystal on platform ‘2’ to make it align properly. Now jump on platform ‘2’.
Shoot the crystal on platform ‘2’ again for it to rotate. This will reveal the blue flower as shown below. Grapple on the blue flower to reach the other side.
Now climb on the staircase and destroy the corruption at the top to complete the mission.
