This guide shows the location of all Collectibles and how to get them in the Cliffside Ruins area of the Vanaheim Region in God of War Ragnarok.
1) Cliffside Ruins Nornir Chest
The chest is at the location shown in the picture below. To unlock the chest, you need to hit three posts to make the same symbol appear on them as on the chest.
The first post is on the right side of the chest as shown in the picture below. It won’t be clearly visible as it is will be hidden behind some vines. Use the purple arrows and your blade to burn the vines. Then hit the post until the symbol “R” appears on it.
The second post is on the left side of the chest as shown in the picture below. To be able to see it, you need to climb up the upper platform. Hit the post until the symbol “F” appears on it.
To get to the third post, you will need to cross the river and go north as shown in the pictures below. Hit the post until the symbol “P” appears on it. This will unlock the chest. Open it to get an Idunn Apple.
2) River Delta Favor (Conscience for the Dead)
Talk to the ghost left of the Nornir chest to start Conscience for the Dead favor. This favor can be completed while working on the collectibles in the area.
3) Lunda’s Broken Bracers (Quest Item)
After talking to the ghost, climb up the wall on the left side. Then open the red chest as shown in the picture below. This is not a collectible but is required for The Mysterious Orb favor.
4) Lore (Lore Marker – Historian)
After the red chest, jump on the platforms and burn the vines on the south side as shown below. Hit the vines with purple arrows. Then hit one of those arrows with your blade to cause an explosion, burning the vines. Now climb up the chain below the vines that you just burned. Then turn left and interact with the seal as shown in the second picture below. This will break the mountain walls ahead, clearing your path to go further south.
Hop back on the boat and go south until you reach the location shown in the pictures below. Go left from the marked location to reach The Veiled Passage.
On reaching The Veiled Passage, you will find a Nornir Chest on the right side. Continue further ahead in The Veiled Passage. Dock your boat where the water ends. Then go through the door on the left side of the red chest as shown in the picture below. Destroy the poisonous plants there and then climb up the walls. Continue ahead in the path, killing all the Seidr Fanatics (Conscience for the Dead).
At the end of the path, climb down the chain and you will find the lore on the right side as shown in the picture below.
5) Legendary Chest (Mists of Helheim – Heavy Runic Attack)
From the lore, turn left and pull the chain to bring down the drawbridge connecting to the Cliffside Ruins‘ main area. The legendary chest is on the right side of the drawbridge chain. The path to reach the legendary chest is blocked with golden debris. There are a couple of explosive barrels at bottom of the golden debris. You will have to make use of these barrels to clear the path.
Shoot purple explosives between the explosive barrels up to the bridge as shown in the picture below. Now move near the arrows as shown in the second picture below and hit one of the purple arrows with your blade, causing an explosion. This will make the barrels explode, destroying the golden debris. This will clear your path. Now climb down and open the legendary chest to get Mists of Helheim.
