Starting Location

This quest is available after completing the main quest “Seat of the Sovran” in Vernworth. To start this quest, speak with a soldier named Roman on the stairs outside the Vernworth castle.

Then follow Roman where he gives you a sword that needs repair.

Find someone to repair the dulled regalia sword

At this stage, the game will not mark the next objective location. You can ask the blacksmith in Vernworth for help, but he’ll suggest speaking to a blacksmith located in Battahl. (or skip this step and directly go to Battahl)

Reach Battahl

You will get entry to Battahl during the main quest “Nation of the Lambent Flame

Blacksmith Location

Once you reach Battahl. Go to Brokkr’s Smithy, speak with Brokkr (NPC) in the back room, and hand him the sword to repair.

Initially, he will not be prepared to fix the sword. Leave the room to speak with Sara (NPC) automatically. Speak with Sara (NPC) again after Brokkr leaves for Tarven.

She will ask you to bring some glimmercoal from the nearby cavern.

Find fifteen or more pieces of glimmercoal

Proceed to the Digger’s Ruins located southwest of Bakbattahl.

In the cave look for the Glimmercoal with your lantern off. These deposits glow green in the dark.

Deliver the glimmercoal to Sara

Return to Battahl and give Sara 15 Glimmercoals. Brokkr still has not repaired the sword. At this point, you may choose to give the sword to Sara to complete the mission or keep looking for someone to repair it.
